an abc abc2 news charlie crowson was there for more on the wonderful story on how this neighborhood pitched take a look. >> reporter: it's a workday for leroy. he's the honorary foreman for a crew of two dozen from the glen burnie home depot and surrounding. volunteer contractors working the make this 11-year-old's life a little easier. >> they're building that ramp for me because it's hard to get up my steps. >> reporter: lee row's grandmother margaret says getting around for the boy who suffers from muscular dystrophy has been a challenge his entire life. before today if leroy wanted to get inside he had to crawl up a set of concrete steps to his back door. >> he's had muscular dystrophy. i want to cry one minute because i'm so joyed and so happy that my grandson leroy is getting a ramp. so he can get in and out of the house without having to crawl. >> reporter: a lot of the thanks must also go to friend and neighbor dorina burton. she helped set the foundation that led to home depot and volunteers like monica getting involved. >> i think it's going to make grandma's life easier and leroy
