detailed in a 12-page document that has been obtained by abc 7 news. liz has a copy, and she's going to show us what's in it. >> reporter: lays out exactly how republicans and the group rescue california hope to chip away at governor newsom's support over the next few months and gain support for the recall. it is a fight that will not be easy given the democrats overwhelming advantage in the state. but here is how republicans plan to do it. with the recall election of governor newsom all but inevitable, beginning phase two. a 12-page document obtained exclusively by abc 7 news outlines how rescue california, one of the main groups behind the recall, hopes to do it. the document was sent to high- level republicans and potential governors. ballot harvest to collect the ballots of potential voters and target latina voters who were most impacted by newsom's policies during the pandemic. the total cost, $15 million. recall supporters face an uphill battle. 56% of likely voters oppose the recall. in order for newsom to be reknewed, 56% of voters will have to

tonight, abc news obtaining more video from police body cameras. the family now speaking out. a warning, though, the images are disturbing. here's abc's elwyn lopez. >> reporter: tonight, the family of ronald greene demanding justice after the release of new body camera footage showing louisiana state troopers punching and dragging him before he died. greene's mother calling her son's death a cover-up. >> we haven't grieved. we haven't been allowed to do that because of the cover-up and the deceit. >> reporter: the 49-year-old died after this violent encounter in 2019. >> i'm sorry! >> reporter: his family says they were told at first greene died from injuries sustained in a car crash. after authorities say he led police on a high-speed chase. so, you were suspicious almost from the beginning. >> yes, yes, uh-huh. within a couple hours of being told. >> don't you turn over. >> reporter: in this video obtained by abc news, you can hear greene moaning, trying to turn over as troopers tell him >> he's not getting enough air. >> reporter: greene then taken to the hospital. one off

and what the mayor of new york is now saying tonight. here's abc's stephanie ramos. >> reporter: tonight, the mayor of new york city is praising the quick actions of the officers who responded to a shooting in times square. >> i think there's a baby down that way -- >> a baby? >> reporter: body camera video showing nypd officer alyssa vogel racing to aid a 4-year-old hit by gunfire. using a tourniquet to help stop the bleeding from the girl's wounded leg. >> as a mom, i think my motherly instincts just went to, you know, i need to help her. >> reporter: vogel then sprints to a waiting ambulance carrying the child as her family follows. >> when there's a gunshot wound up on your thigh, there's arteries. and i didn't know if an artery was hit or not. >> reporter: it was just before 5:00 p.m. on saturday, in the heart of times square, when bullets started flying amid an argument between as many as four men. three people nearby were shot, including the child. >> thank god the three people who were hit -- it looks like they'll make a strong recovery. >> r
