christine sloan, abc news, new york. stephanie: a terrifying close call.and will have nearly missed hitting a school bus filled with children. [truck horn] [screaming] stephanie: it was picking up kids earlier this week. this 80 thousand pound tractor-trailer was going 45 miles per hour and was not able to stop. that is when the driver started honking. a pickup truck on the other side backed up with just enough space for the trailer to maneuver around the bus and thankfully avoid hitting anyone.
