abc news is your place when it comes to everything 2024.on day, you can find complete coverage and live updates on abc seven news.com and the abc seven news app. >> new this morning, a two alarm fire that burned in an abandoned restaurant in oakland is under investigation. flames broke out around 1230 this morning on dennison at cotton street. firefighters say the restaurant that was there has been closed for about a year and a half. and in that time, there have been a dozen different fires in the building. crews got the fire under control in about an hour and no one was hurt. p-g-and-e's equipment has been responsible for some of the most destructive wildfires in our history. over the past few years, the utility has pushed to raise rates multiple times to help them address the situation, but it seems their equipment is still sparking flames. in fact, so far this year, 62 fires have been started by pga and pga equipment, and that's almost the same amount as all of last year. abc seven news reporter gloria rodriguez is following this story.
