this is abc seven news. good morning, everybody. i'm liz kreutz. ows flooding in monterey county. thousands of people have been forced to get out of their homes as floods, overtake city streets, buildings and neighborhoods. this happened after a levee broke along the pa harrow river early saturday morning. right now, more than 8500 people are waiting for the floods to subside so they can get back home as soon as possible. the monterey county sheriff's office says it has made nearly 90 rescues over the past day in the north bay neighbors are cleaning up from the last storm and are now getting ready for more flooding. their rain hit moran on saturday and roads were very slick in mill valley crane helped clean up a 50 ft oak tree that crashed into a home tree removal. experts say they've been slammed with calls in sonoma county streams are running high with another 3 to 7. inches of rain expected fire officials are warning people to prepare for possible outages and again to never drive through flooded areas. and lisa arjun. good morning to you. let's g

abc seven news continues our live storm coverage in santa rosa. j.r.: before the storm, somewhat of a sprinkle in santa rosa, but it has been like this for much of the evening in the north. not a hard downpour, steady and slow rain at times. the concern are many of these hillsides. we were on cooper drive monday and you can see the hill is covered with tarps because the hillside is sliding. it has already caused this fence to buckle. two homes have been red tagged and there are concerns the hill will keep moving with another couple inches of rain. we spoke with those out and about monday night, everyone aware of the weather situation. >> ready for the sunshine and ready for the seasons to turn. i am definitely ready for it to be done with. >> we flooded last year, so the atmospheric river scares us a bit this year. we are prepared if it does flood. >> i walked is not working right now because the rain is no good. >> how much money do you think you lost by not being able to work? >> oh, my about $1000 a week. >> a lot of money. act out here live in

. >> we have abc seven news team coverage tonight from the coast of santa cruz to the east bay. >> we begin with sandhya patel for details of the conditions outside right now. >> those winds are fears right now, that's take a look at live doppler 7, that area of low pressure rapidly intensifying just off of the coast and to continue -- winds continue to remain strong. los gatos is already over 80 miles per hour, mount diablo, -- mile-per-hour guests, as that low pressure has been bombing off our coast, those winds have been powerful and damaging. we do have a high wind warning from the cemetery coast to the santa cruz coastline as we look at other parts of the bay area from solano county down towards the south bay, we have wind advisories, just between 50-70 miles per hour. those advisories and warnings up until 9:00 tonight. we go hour-by-hour, 6:00 this evening, winds so strong, and still gusty, over 50 miles per hour in oakland, and at 11 p.m., winds will begin to ease as the low-pressure weekends and pulls away from the bay area. tomorrow morning, much calmer conditions, and as we

stone, abc norm seven news -- j.r. stone, abc 7 news. drew: our storm is still swirling off of our coastline. the winds have calmed down but still defining areas of light to moderate rain. we have a flood advisory. please be aware of that. hydroplaning is a concern, especially while it is dark. in the santa cruz mountains more moderate rain into flood advisory is in effect. take a look at the temperatures as you have a wind gust flowing my umbrella around. we will find numbers in the 40. i have full doppler. a strong storm is still whirling off our coastline, creating the lane. it will pull to the south as the morning goes on, taking the rain with it. here is future whether. we will have the showers for the entire morning commute. as we head into the afternoon, the showers become isolated and a lot of temperatures below average, stuck in the 50's. numbers barely topping out in the upper 50's later on this afternoon, and looking at the three day forecast, we will keep the chance of isolated showers in the forecast. by friday we will stay
