in walnut creek, thomas roman, abc7 news. >> thank you. >>> three new suspects are facing charges tonight for the beating of giants fan bryan stow at a dodgers game. the original suspect, l.a. police say it was not involved. abc7's lisa amin gulezian is live to explain how police found these suspects. lisa? >> detectives in lapd's robbery homicide unit tracked down the two men they say are responsible for the beating. they are 29-year-old luis sanchez and his neighbor, 30-year-old marvin norwood. >> the process worked that one individual has been exonerated. two others have charges filed against them. >> the los angeles city leaders patted themselves so the back while admitting they made a mistake. their original suspect is in the clear. two new suspects, luis sanchez and marvin norwood, are now charged with bryan stow's savage beating. >> what this investigation speaks to is we do the right thing. even when it is the hard thing. even when it is difficult. >> police came to this neighborhood and arrested sanchez. a few doors down they found sanchez's sister, doreen and marvin norwood. >>

lilian kim, abc7 news. >> thank you, lilian. >> philip and nancy garrido were sentenced last month and serving time for kidnapping. philip garrido pled guilty to kidnapping and 13 cases of sexual assault. he is serving a sentence of life. nancy garrido pled guilty to kidnapping and rape and is serving 36 years to life at a women's prison. >>> investigators are still trying to figure out what killed a 14-year-old santa rosa girl found dead on her bedroom floor. the teenager was having a sleep over at her home with three other girls, and all three drank something she mixed with soda. the girl was found dead early this morning, and the other three were violently ill. they don't know what they drank, and now detectives are waiting for toxicology reports to get answers. >>> a shootout in richmond left three people dead. it is now being called a drug deal gone wrong. it happened yesterday inside a two-bedroom unit at the triangle housing complex where a gunbattle at close range erupted. richmond police say michael landerson who lived here was murdered. also killed are 28-year-old cory walker

carolyn tyler abc7 news. >> all right.off the streets of pal at -- palo alto this morning. dozens of handguns and rifles were turned in yesterday during the city's gun buy-back program. each was exchanged for a $100 cash card. the buy-back program was established after a toddler was accidentally shot to death by a twelve-year-old boy who found a gun in a garage. >> it's a safety issue. chances of you injuring yourself with a weapon or someone in your family with a weapon you had stored are greater than you using using it for self-defense. >> 137 guns have been turned in since the program began back in 2009. >>> at-risk teens are turning from tagging build to go making art in san jose. the project creates murals in areas where graffiti is a problem. it gives kids something positive to do and helps create pride in their neighborhood. organizers also say many kids who join the project end up turning in their gang colors. >>> santa clara's city manager is recommending the city deny a request by former 49ers great joe montana t
