abigail is tracking those moves.: on the s&p 500, we are looking at a 1% intraday move to the upside, so a bullish reversal, closer to 1%. nasdaq is up about .7, even with yields higher. yields higher earlier in that bloomberg dollar index higher, that had been one of the pressures, but investors seem to be rethinking it as part of the three-day rally. we are going to see declines earlier today and in the premarket are swallowed up by this gain, up about 5% the last three days. there is a decliner, up 5% at the highs heading to the best three days going all the way back to july. let's see if the bulls can get back up to the session highs in the early, early premarket during the asian session. reasons for these gains, let's look at earnings numbers. netflix up even more than the last time. at that point, it had been the best day since january. they have seen a return to growth. 2.40 one million subscribers, looking for 4.5 million net subscribers in this current quarter. investors like it or get close, that stock is p

abigail doolittle tracking the moves. abigail: the chips down 3.3% as the u.s.h curbs on china in terms of availability to the u.s.. that weighed on the hang seng technology sector as well as the s&p 500 chip sector. earnings season kicking off in earnest. the big banks will be kicking off this earnings season. what is interesting is it is right at the end of august analyst have been looking for a points and -- for a .6% year-over-year earnings. the current estimate is something close to 2.6%. it is still not an earnings recession. where would you have an earnings recession, wells fargo earnings on a year-over-year basis is expected to be down 7%. when we go closer to goldman sachs, down 47% on a year-over-year basis. what makes it so interesting is that is all investment banking. the banks that have less exposure, the decline is less. downham is 50%. that could be one reason these stocks are down even as yields rise. alix: thanks. the bond market is still really active in europe. tom was putting out aptos go year yields in italy are down 23 basis points. coming

abigail: stocks lower after two backup weeks in a row.ve bonds selling off but yields are higher. that is pressuring stocks ahead of the fed meeting. we also have oil down 1%. that is another risk asset. you could make the case that is a good thing for stocks because it takes away inflationary pressure. on the other hand, you have another risk asset trading lower. it has been a good month for stocks, for the dow in particular. we take a look at the action for the indexes on the month. we will see the doubt outperforming up 13.6%. the other indexes up 8% and 4%. the dow, the best month going back to 1976. next best month, 1930. those times also volatile for stocks with big gains and losses. as for big stock winners and laggers on the month, not surprisingly, apple added $260 billion worth of market cap. exxon mobil $92 billion. microsoft surprising to me, a small gain. look at the laggards, amazon and medic. tesla is one of the biggest down $110 billion. probably some concern around elon musk's role at twitter. the worst month since april.

abigail: we really have a nice day at this point. the s&p 500, up 1.3%.he third update in aero. over the last seven days, the s&p up 5%. best seven days going back to march of this year. he seemed to be in this bear market rally mode. i call it a bear market rally because the overall trend is down. a piece of strength has to do with technology and chips. chips, higher than some of the mega-caps that will be reporting. gm reported a great quarter today. that stock is up 3.3%. trucks, suvs doing well. they also talked about the supply chain issues straightening out. including chips. attack, also getting a lift from yields. yields are in in a big way. this has to do with negative data. take a look at the 10 year yield, down a standing 18 basis points. but you have the whole curve coming in. this is helping the dollar decline, driving risk assets higher. as for that data, consumer confidence coming in weaker than expected. if we go into the terminal and look at what is happening for housing, we are not talking about this, that it is happening behind the scene

abigail doolittle tracking those moves. abigail: interesting to see if we go green for the s&p.d look at four day rally. right now fractionally lower. the real divergence has to do with tech. microsoft and alphabet weighing on the tech indexes with the nasdaq 100 down 1.2%. the worst day going back to march 2020, the disappointing quarter. take a look at the bloomberg dollar index. it's down in a big way. that's fuel for the risk rally. not surprising to see the s&p 500 flip higher relative to those results. not just microsoft we are talking about alphabet and nvidia or excuse me texas instruments relative to the outlook. it is not so great. the midpoint for the fourth quarter calendar, fourth-quarter outlook for texas instrument's about 6% below alphabet actually providing that but there's a worry there could be even for the s&p 500 is there with about 30% of the companies reporting earnings down about 1.9%. what is helping out could bring the s&p 500 to join the dow and the russell 2000 higher. we have these of the s&p 500 futures of the last five days so here you go up 5.2%,
