back to the argument in terms of academia, there is a perception and academia that this is easy because it is entertainment. it is easy to do this stuff. in fact i would argue that there is an enormous discipline to it, an enormous amount of work and it is every bit as hard to paint a masterful scene not that i am calling what i do masterful, but but i we will say that this guy is. you know. you know, at least aspire to painting a masterful scene as it yields to advancing a brilliant pieces. the truth is, we need all of those tools, we do need to know how to argue to know how to explain, how to sort of pull back and set the larger stage. the scenes and a cinematic sense of scenes is really what animates this kind of nonfiction. >> just a a little bit more on the topic because it is so critical. i go so far as were many of the scenes in my book to literally think of myself as behind the camera when i am laying out the structure of the scene. just briefly the 1st scene and the boys in the boat's two men walking across the campus and going down to the house, turning out for crew practice t
