my view of academia has also evolved.e early part of my career where i was just solel focusing on making the signs, i think academia really symbolizesy a space to do relentless and fearless pursuit of curiosity and knowledge. it is where you are working not for profits. you don't really have a boss. you're just together with fellow scientists, computer scientists, engineers who are just so fast fascinated by making signs. and that is me the kind of freedom and sense of limitlessness that is so important for, for the pursuit of knowledge. and i think, i do sincerely hope that whether it is academia or public sector or even possibly industry labs that very precious core is protected for those who are actually doing the daily signs. -- science. as a.i. expanded into the society, and as a.i.'s impact becomes much more complex, my own role within the public sector has also evolved into a leadership role. i've co-founded stanford's institute for human centered a.i., which is our country's first dedicated major university instit
