my resolution that is coming up, item 31, that reference is the national academy of recording arts, their decision to eliminate from the grammy awards 31 music categories was driven by a concern expressed to me by many musicians who felt that many working artists, especially many of our neighborhoods are overlooked, and their cultural styles are not respected to the value they bring to the neighborhoods and the city, so this decision puts their economic livelihood kind of on shaky ground, though i am withdrawing item 31 later, and i will explain that in a moment, the issue is how we as a city can support all sectors of the music industry in the tough economic times that remain. so i am calling today for a hearing with the support of our president, supervisor david chiu, and i hope i can get supervisors kim and wiener, but this is in the land use and economic development committee about the role they play as an economic driver in san francisco and what the city can do to support local artists, menus, and others. since i brought the issue of the upcoming resolution that we will hear in a mo

of arts goes back centuries. we arrived at the russian art academy low. catered in a grand building in the sense of the city it brings together art lovers of all ages and nationalities you can almost feel the creativity as you walk in here. many students have taken sabbaticals to come to florence and learn more about art the school is angled towards classical russian teaching methods and takes individuals back to basics studying the works of old masters. nice work but. classes are taken as part of a full time course we can't or evening classes and a whole range of subjects to study from canvas painting too much drawing but why come to a russian art school in florence. because we're kind of training to see fair play where you can get to do their city years later. our schools around here it's just very focus of spirit affected it actually i never planned to come to parents to painting i can't do sculpture but i was convinced by the russian math and all the way that they they teach me my dream and improved as soon as i came here most of the buildings are stil
