adam joseph has the latest from accuweather. >> reporter: damp raw afternoon. this morning they picked up quite a bit of snow in the poconos, tobyhanna 5 inches of snow lake harmony 3.5 inches, north hamilton county 1.3, allentown a .50 inch of snow this morning. a lot of that across the lehigh valley has felted away and the storm is winding up and heading into new england and scattered showers to the west and they will fall apart and this low will start to crank up. and the good thing here is, the clouds begin to fall apart and the stars reappear and the winds turn breezy and notice a slow drop in temperature from the upper 30s to the mid-30s around 36 degrees by 11:00 tonight. then the storm comes a powerhouse in northern new england tonight in friday and wrapping strong winds around it. through the latter part of tonight into tomorrow. winds gust 40 to 45 miles per hour. quite a change at the end of the week and bitter cold with windchills even tomorrow afternoon only in the 20s. we'll chat about the end of 2016 and beginning of 2017 with that holiday weeken

let's get the latest information from meteorologist cecily tynan and accuweather.e have the wet, now get ready for the cold. >> that's right. the arctic air by the end of the week. this system is saying bye. and we have leftover rain around philadelphia, south jersey. but getting accumulating snow in the poconos. mount pocono recording a whopping 5 inches. and we had a little bit of accumulating sleet in northern north hampton and northern montgomery county. temperature-wise, philadelphia, 43 degrees, well above freezing. allentown, 36. and mount pocono, 31 degrees. and the winter weather arisery for them until 6:00 tomorrow. and the possibility of freezing drizzle. and the national weather service extended the winter weather advisory for north hampton until 1:00 in the morning for the chance of freezing drizzle. tomorrow philadelphia will have drizzle, not freezing. at 6:00, 38 degrees. by 8:00, 41. i'm tracking that arctic boundary that will bring the coldest air since last winter. i'll talk about when that arrives in the full accuweather forecast. >> thank you,
