and as across the west, spreading rains across the southwest.ome rain is putting out wildfires, so that's good news. rain is not going to fall across the northwest, where fires are still growing. very hot conditions across the mid section of the u.s. and canada once again. 37 degrees in omaha, and 34 in denver with high humidity, you feel much, much hotter than these actual numbers. and finally in europe, days of dry weather has resulted in wildfires in parts. take a look at this video. about 1,000 firefighters were trying to put out 15 major wildfires in portugal. the country has extremely hot weather and strong night winds. this fire lasted 48 hours. more than 40,000 hectares burned down this month. now, the bad news is that rain is not going to fall across portugal today. but rain is going to be found across the southern parts of the peninsula. more heavy rain across the central and southern parts of europe. thunderstorms and even the risk of hail across this area, and even tornadoes cannot be ruled out this area. peaceful weather across the

thunderstorms are also quite heavy across the central plains, across the north american continent hereto a cold front sagging from canada, and this has a history of touching down a tornado in north dakota. so it has a capability of spawning even more tornadoes. towards the south, this low pressure system has spawned several tornadoes yesterday. for wednesday, these systems are going to be merging and becoming one huge storm-maker. so tomorrow we're looking at more severe thunderstorms to come across the region, all the way from northern texas and into the great lakes region. it's still quite hot across much of the arklatex region, reaching 38 degrees in houston, with plenty of sunshine. now to europe. it's quite hot across the eastern areas here, as well, due to the african heat moving south. so the jet stream meanders to the north and east and to the south. and the western areas and unstable weather will be continuing here. we have a report of 115 kilometers per hour, gusts reported in czech republic in the three-hour span, 90 millimeters of rain fell in the same country. and we have

now, across north america, lots of rain across the east. we're seeing heavy rain, particularly from the plains into the mid-atlantic region and, as we go into tuesday, heavy rain will be across the east and deep south. drenching rain could batter the areas like new york city and washington, d.c. on your tuesday. across the side of the continent, dry weather continues. in fact very dry across the northwest. the wildfires have been reported and unfortunately more wildfires could occur due to strong winds and low humidity. temperatures will be 27 degrees in seattle and 27 as well in los angeles. it's going to cool down in chicago into the mid-20s as well as toronto and cooling down also in washington, d.c. on tuesday. all right. finally in europe then not much change since yesterday. lots of severe weather is happening in some places and dry across the south and temperatures are going to be quite mild in many areas such as berlin, 21 degrees for the high. 24 in wars ow. and at 19 degrees for you in london. but the iberian peninsula is still on

where do we have problems across the united states?tty easy to pick out a frontal boundary going through the midsection of the country, you can see the clouds and rain across there. we've had this persistent rain from the south. that's a stalled out frontal boundary. it's been day after day of heavy rain. that is starting to diminish. i'll get to that in just a second. here's the frontal boundary. before that, we had temperatures 10-20 degrees above average. far go was in the 90's yesterday, this time of year, average high is 79. that front is going to bring things a little back to normal today. far go at 84. ahead of this, we have 90's, like chicago, for example. this will bring the chance of storms today or tomorrow. it moves along. tomorrow the better chance is chicago. you can see the temperatures cool into the 80's for the rest of the week once we get on the backside of that front. i mentioned all the consistent rain that we've had in the southern tier of the country. you saw some glimpses of this yellow thing in the sky. it's the

thunderstorms are also quite heavy across the central plains across the north american continent dueld front. already touching a tornado in north dakota. it has the capability of spawning more tornadoes. for wednesday these systems are going to be merging and becoming one huge storm maker. so tomorrow we are looking at more severe thunderstorms to come across the region from northern texas and into the great lakes region. it is still quite hot across much of the arklatex region reaching 38 degrees in houston with plenty of sunshine. now to europe. it is quite hot across the eastern areas here, as well, due to the african heat moving all the way to the south. the jet stream meanders to the north and east and south. western areas unstable area continues. we had a report of 115 kilometers per hour gusts reported in the czech republic. we have eight centimeter dynameter hail reported in germany. temperatures are shaping up like this and it will be continuing to be very hot across the central locations. so do be precautious for heat stroke. i'll leave you now for the extended forecast. >>
