yvonne: now the latest on microsoft's takeover bid for activision. a u.s. green light for the $69 billion deal, but the ftc is leaning towards appealing that decision. su keenan joining us from new york with more. let's start off with the possibility an appeal could be filed as quickly as the next 24 hours or so. >> that's what we're hearing from a person close to the matter. sources saying that the u.s. federal trade commission is leaning toward appealing the decision that denied its bid to block the activision microsoft deal. it is a huge loss for the agency which according to the judge failed to show the deal would harm competition for gaming. no final decision was made, but if an appeal is filed, it could come as soon as the next 24 hours. that is probably because the judge extended a temporary restraining order that blocks the deal from going forward, but that expires at midnight. so the judge wrote that the ftc would need to seek an emergency stay from the ninth circuit court of appeals to extend that beyond friday. that's the decision we're told the
