adalja, let's see if we can preempt or preview some of the cdc guidelines.inated, what can we do and who can we do it with? >> i expect the cdc guidance to be cautious and conservative. what i think to expect is that they're going to say that vaccinated people can socialize with other vaccinated people, have gatherings, have basically normal interaction. that's the first step. i think that you're unlikely to see them really change any of the guidance for mixing of unvaccinated and vaccinated people, although many of us in the field realize this vaccine not only prevents stum ma particular disease, -- symptomatic disease, also makes you less to be a carrier and less likely to spread the virus. it will take some time for the public health guidance to catch up, even though we're seeing great data from israel about the fact that these vaccines are he decreasing spread. so i do think what you'll see you is mostly guidance about not having to quarantine after you've been exposed and how to interact normally with other individuals that have been vaccinated. it will

adalja, let's be clear about impact we're in the early stages of getting americans vaccinated but what what you read online you ought not taketake it because it was developed too fast and people who have received the vaccination what do we as a medical community know about that? >> this is a very safe and effective vaccine. i clamored to be vaccinated. i was vaccinated early on in december, the first week of the availability of the pfizer vaccine and after my first dose, i had no symptoms at all i didn't even have any arm soreness it was less than a flu vaccine after the second dose, you can expect to have some symptoms aches and pain, headache, fatigue. that's the usual course that people have, but it's very manageable i went to work the next day and worked in the icu overnight and didn't take a day off. i took a little bit of tylenol and that's what you can expect to get from most people. it is very safe and efficacious vaccine. i have not seen anything that concerned me i think this is going to be an important pathway back to normalcy as the governor said, when you talk about seriou
