i want to bring into the conversation a former staffer, adam gentleson. he is not a household name but he is a crucial character. he was part of the fight in 2016 to put garland on the supreme court. he was deputy chief of staff for harry reid who was seen as a master of the senate rules and who went to the mat in all sorts of unprecedented ways in fights like this in the past. thank you for being with us tonight. i appreciate you being here. >> thanks for having me. >> you've spoken publicly about what you think democrats ought to do if they want to pull out all the stops to fight. now that we've got a name and it is not just hypothetical, do you think that brett kavanaugh will inspired a unified democratic opposition in the senate? >> i think brett kavanaugh will present democrats who want to find a way to vote no, ample opportunity to get to no. you were talking about the russia aspect. the president appointing someone with pretty clear intent to be let off. that's one rationale. kavanaugh seems very likely to overturn the affordable care act. that's a
