're talking oughted morning about markets being down after fitch downgraded the u.s. debt. so look at where we are. dow industrials down 107, nasdaq down 113. fitch rating service's downgrading the u.s. credit rating to double a plus after growing concerns of the u.s. debt and deficit. they are saying it's a wakeup call. the $32 trillion in debt, your reaction to the teeth of this downgrade. >> maya mcginnis is right, it is a wakeup call. 8% of the money that the u.s. spends every year goes to just interest and that's on its way to 14 over the next several years, not to mention social security medicare and medicaid which are roughly half and are running out of money. number one, yes, it's a wakeup call. we have a problem. number two, what took so long. standard and poor's downgraded the u.s. for the same reasons in 2010. here we are 13 years later. point number three and this is actually what i think is most relevant for me as an investor and i think for many of our listeners, moody's
