[ bleep ]. >> look. they are believed to be tourists. take that back to where you came from. new york city. we're about having people vaccinated here, and following the rules. the restaurants will be fined if they don't follow the rules. the 24-year-old hostess had asked them for proof of vaccination which is required for indoor dining in new york city. so, she was literally doing her job trying to keep patrons safe. now, according to the police report, the women hit the employee, quote, multiple times with closed fists and she suffered bruises and scratches to her face, her chest, and arms. it is unclear in the video who are the attackers and who is the victim.

i'm joined now by republican congressman adam kinzinger who serves ot foreign affairs committee and is also a member of the house select committee investigating the january 6th riots. congressman kinzinger, thank you for being with us. the fact that the former president, donald trump, was somehow offended by george w. bush's condemnation of domestic terrorists, what does that tell you? >> so it tells me two things, first off. he just -- i mean he proved george w.'s point as quickly and as amazingly as you can. i mean the fact that he's out there dividing on a day -- if we have to pick one day besides like christmas to be unified, probably september 11th is a good candidate for that. but the other thing, and as a quick aside to anybody that is still looking at donald trump as a standard bearer for the republican party, this is one of the weakest men that i've ever seen. i mean if you think about it, you know, what is strength? strength isn't somebody that just gets their dander up every time because they have such a lack of self-esteem that they have to go attack. somebody with strength

house republicans have not been happy with cheney or republican congressman adam kinzinger for joininghard right freedom caucus have asked house gop leadership to change party rules in order to remove cheney and kinzinger from the republican conference referring to them as, quote, spies for democrats. arizona congressman andy bigs writing in a letter, quote, many of the coming discussions in house republican conference meetings will likely revolve around our defense against the democrats perpetuation of the false narrative that january 6th was an insurrection. the false narrative that january 6th was an insurrection. what better way to continue downplaying that insurrection, which is what it was, than by getting rid of the most prominent republicans who actually admit that the insurrection happened. and now federal officials are worried that january 6th could potentially happen again. another rally at the capitol planned for september 18th. it's designed to demand justice for the hundreds of people who have been charged in connection with the january 6th insurrection. sources tell nbc
