meteorologist adam klotz in the fox extreme weather district. how bad is this? is looking like a really big system. a machete with happening across the country. it is really highlighted down a lot both coasts, down along the southern states. you can see portions of texas and read polygons are all areas under a tornado watch right now which doesn't mean there's a tornado on the ground that conditions are ripe. off to the east growing into portions of louisiana. the assist on picking up more so even though we've seen severe thunderstorms as a result of the system. we've seen a tornado or to warrant the storm. this throughout the rest of the evening and eventually into the overnight hours is lifting more so into the louisiana before stretching up into arkansas and further to the north. this is a systemic and capable of producing tornadoes from now running human to the overnight hours. it is going to be a really big one and it's going to keep us very busy here in the weather center through the rest of the night into early tomorrow morning. arthel: at him, will stick

meteorologist rotle adam klotz. >> yeah, this is a big system continuing really throughout the rest ofere's your set-up, a lot of moisture in the middle of the country pumping in off the gulf of mexico. areas where we're seeing the most rain stretching anywhere from oklahoma running all the way up into the upper midwest. the largest really section we're paying attention some of the heavy crest rain pushing towards the st. louis area, you could be seeing as much as 3 inches an hour, this total 7-10 inches in some isolated places. we've got watches and warnings, everything in the red is actually a flash flood warning, and those are some of the areas where that rain's really piling up. we've already seen it, this is precipitation from the last couple of days. so there's already an area where we're seeing the rain included where you're looking at 4-6 inches, and this rain is far from over. it's going to be lingering from now all the way through the rest of the weekend. when the ground's already saturated, that's when you see this flooding pile up. here's our future radar and, again, the la

meteorologist adam klotz is live in the fox extreme weather center. really, adam?, we wish it was a joke. unfortunately, that's not the case. that snow continuing to fall across portions of the northeast. good news is we're wrapping this one up. it's just been today. let me show you what's still happening out there, at this point really kind of highlighting on maine, surrounding portland. this was much more widespread just a couple hours ago, that continues to be our winter storm warning. eventually, this is going to shift off to sea and we are going to clear off a little bit. here's an hour by hour forecast, a future forecast, it does show this whole system pushing out through the overnight hours. good news is it's going to be clearing off a bit and maybe we'll eventually see some more spring-like weather. it's really been the northeast that's continued to have winter hanging around. these are showfall totals, really depths at this point, and it's the only spot where we're still looking at snow in the northeast. you start to see some of these deeper purples, we're
