fox weather meteorologist adam klotz is here with america's forecast. adam.because you saw nothing but sunshine in the background there. otherwise, storms a a-- across the country, you're just getting general kind of summer thunderstorms across the country. the big weather feature through the week and the next couple of days is extreme heat in the middle of the country. you can see it lining up there, 900 degrees today in chicago, 92 in louisville, 911 in kansas city. it's the center of the country where you're looking at the most intense heat at least through sunday and that ultimately drifts further off towards the east. i know it's probably already hot where you are in the eastern half of the country, but more intense heat is spilling your direction similar to the what folks are dealing with across portions of the plains. waterloo, 97 degrees monday. you're talking about upper midwest, stretching over the upp er great lakes. add in dewpoint temperatures, it feels like 110 in des moines on monday, and then this just continues the kind of spill on out. see 1

will: let's check in with meteorologist adam klotz for our forecast. adam: hey, good morning, guys.fall on monday, but folks are going to be feeling the impacts today as this storm continues to grow. winds at 50 miles an hour. it's sitting just off the coast of south florida, this is on the gulf side. so up and down the west west coast it's still barely reaching the edge of the coastline. at the heard of -- heart of the storm the winds are 50miles an hour, so you're beginning to see it batter the southwest coast of florida. this is going to you and and run up the coast. as it does so, interacting more and more and more throughout the day. we've got all sorts of tropical storm warnings up and down. the hurricane warning is in the florida big bend because that is where, ultimately, we're expecting this storm to turn and make landfall early monday morning. throughout the day today, severe thunderstorms could be a possible. a couple of isolated spin-up tornadoes. that's always the case when you see a storm move in this direction, always the front-right side that can spin up thunderstorm

for more, let's go to the fox weather center and meteorologist adam klotz. > yeah, this is going to be the storm to pay attention to, moving just to the south of the big island, never making landfall, but close enough for an impact. winds currently at 65 miles per hour. that's a strong, powerful tropical storm. by the time you get to 75 miles per hour that would be a hurricane, but you notice we're already kind of clearing the islands at that point, much further south of some of the islands as opposed to the big island. that's going to see the greatest impacts from the storm evening as it strengthens. robert mentioned this, the rains on the eastern end of the island. some of the higher elevations maybe as much as a foot of rain could be coming down tonight through the earlier part of tomorrow. back here in the continental united states, the big story is just about this heat that's really been building and kind of hanging around here for a little while. right there up the middle of the country. a lot of folks have been seeing it, 92 degrees is the high in kans

now to fox weather center for what to expect for the rest of the weekend we're going to go now to adam klotzfortunately this is the time but we're looking at another system that's several days away and could be next name system would be ernesto if it come together. a 30% of coming together and over the next week 80% so this is very likely to come together really think early to middle of next week. by the time we would have a named storm. now what are we expecting couple of big steering features that give us a sense of where this ultimately could go if it becomes a storm. big high pressure is going to kind of push it ultimately into the caribbean. another high pressure system off towards the west. is probably going to keep this more along the east coast. so these are some potential areas where we could see this storm form. and then that means, of course, it has a better chance of impacting the east coast once again. is this out of the normal? no it's not we're really getting into the tile of the year where we see these jump the busiest time of hurricane season we're really getting into it rig

fox weather meteorologist adam klotz' is tracking the storm. >> a lot of water indeed a very long with currently 65 miles per hour for its delay tropical storm likely will become a hurricane. here it is ever inching closer and closer to the big island of hawaii. strengthening as it does put winds at 75 miles an hour it would mean it becomes a hurricane just barely at that threshold. but when you notice by the time that happens you are actually moving away from the islands already. we are expecting up path late tonight early tomorrow morning as a strong tropical storm. note landfall but still use the impacts of the brings a lot of moisture with it. your look at some rainfall totals i totally the eastern side of the island that's pregnant closer t to a foot as t continues to drag off to the west impacting the other islands but some of the big island gets the brunt of this with the heaviest rain and some of those wins late tonight into early tomorrow morning but one of several systems is across the pacific as we speak for the other two what is a storm the other not yet a storm likely to b

's hot and sticky which means it's summer which means, yes, it is hurricane season. currently moving across portions of cuba, this is that system. really disorganized at this point. winds at 30 miles an hour, looks messy. we're expecting this to run into the gulf of mexico where the water's warm, and it's really going to come together. we've got cop central alerts up and down the -- tropical alerts up and down the west coast of florida, kind of lingering off the southern coast and working its way, ultimately, up to the florida big bend. you do see wind speeds increase, maybe even a weak hurricane by the time it makes landfall and drags itself across the southeast. rain is going to be bun of the main concerns even if this isn't making landfall where you live but you're in florida, you're probably going to see the impacts. one more graphic, the the rainfall totals. you start to see some of those reds, you're talking feet of rain. so this could be a big rainmaker, certainly something we'r

adam klotz warned us about this. what are we likely to look at?we have the newest information, this is where the storm currently sits and we did see a little bit of a turn in the tracks so hurricane watches and the british virgin islands just east of puerto rico and the u.s. virgin islands. puerto rico itself remains in a tropical storm warning because the eye of the storm no longer forecast to move right over, however it's going to be a very close pass, so still lots of rain and certainly see deteriorating conditions overnight tonight through tomorrow. we then see that storm lift out over the water. it is going to greatly intensify at that point. tropical storm overnight tonight through tomorrow morning, gets back over open water, you get to 110 miles per hour, that is a strong category 2 hurricane, a weak category 3, at least close to it, and then looking at bermuda, this does not need a direct hit, but bermuda is in the potential path which means it could see a direct hit, could see some deteriorating conditions by the time we get to friday nig

adam klotz is following it very closely in the fox weather center. adam, where are we with this?l. this is still a storm that's continuing to get its act together. winds at 35 miles an hour. we just, actually, our is 1 a.m. updaylight, we've got the the latest information right now -- update. s it is interacting with the island of cuba as we speak, and we are beginning to see some of the large outer bands begin to hit portions of south florida. so there is rain currently moving in because of this system that's ultimately going to make its move a little further north. but it's going to strengthen as it moves. this storm, still a long way to go as far as getting bigger. maybe borderline hurricane, certainly a tropical storm. anytime if you see something like this, you do get a severe weather threat and those individual discreet cells that are beginning to hit south florida, those could spin up into small tornadoes. otherwise, though, it's a tropical system. we've got the tropical storm warnings up and down down the west coast because this is going to move up the west coast of flori

adam klotz joins us. >> adam: as the days roll on, getting a better picture of what we're looking at and disturbance is over the caribbean islands. we expect it to run over cuba, get back toward gulf of mexico and this red area is not a forecast trek, this is an area you will see development. it could become a storm -- ultimately a tropical storm, would do so out over gulf of mexico, likely what we're looking at. several forecast models over cuba, turning and running up west coast of florida. our line here ultimately takes it north of tampa. this storm has moved, there is wiggle room here. it is a large storm as far as diameter goes. it is not where eye wall or center of rotation is, it is the rain moving over the state. the orange color is three to five inches, don't be surprised if these areas get five to eight inches, so flooding is a concern. it picks up in south florida on saturday, i think sunday is when you will see this rain. this will be a big rain maker, whether it turns into a tropical storm, a lot of rain. >> todd: if people are getting wet and flooded, it matters to them

our meteorologist adam klotz is here with the fox weather forecast. >> adam: this storm is picking up speed, couple more days and we'll track this system as it gets out of the country. it is moving north and lifting up the east coast. winds moving north and north east at 35 miles per hour. it won't take a lot of time to continue to race up the coast. there ise is veer threats here. talk about tornados, there is a tornado now north of richmond. front right quadrant can start to rotate, they are short lived, but can be dangerous and deadly. the biggest concern is flood risk, that will continue from carolinas taking you ultimately through new york state to canada as it is pulling all that moisture with it. how much more rain on the way, start to see orange and this is higher elevation. we're talking three to five inches, isolated areas, there is half a foot of rain coming down. that is next major concern. by saturday night or know sunday, the system is out of the country. >> carley: get out of here, debby, been too long. to this. new body camera video of the trump assassination attempt s

debby could become a hurricane before making landfall on monday let's check in with meteorologist adam klotzher forecast. adam. >> good morning land fall on monday but seeing impacts across the state throughout the day today all the way leading up to that eventually landfall. winds currently at 60 miles an hour at 75 miles an hour that would being a category one hurricane we are expecting that to ultimately happen. those outer bands right now hitting western portions of central florida including fort myers not up to tampa yet but don't worry tampa will get in on this as it passes up the northern coast of florida and then that pink area that is a hurricane warning that is because this is expected to be a hurricane when it makes landfall in the florida big bend. now what are the concerns with this storm system? first it is everything that florida is dealing with but after that land fall that category 1 hurricane this is the southeast around south georgia, carolina, coast and there's nothing steering this at this pongt but sit there for a while and spin and flooding could be a major concern and

let's check in with meteorologist adam klotz for the fox weather forecast. >> reporter: good morning. cuba still a week storm but it is going to run into some warm water the next couple days, that is when it will intensify, that is when it becomes something we need to pay attention to. these are our warnings and watches up and down the coast of florida, you see the storm running along the west coast, we got the tropical storm warnings in place, the hurricane watch in place, these will expand as we continue the next couple days. here's how it times out. by tomorrow, sunday morning, tomorrow morning a fairly weak storm but over the gulf of mexico, that water will run along the coast on sunday growing as it makes that move ultimately time it out to make landfall on monday morning, a little time with this, dragging itself across the southeast. this is a large storm even though it's not making landfall any particular time it will be raining across the state of florida, flooding is going to be one of the major concerns we will be watching very closely. those are your weather headlines. khan

we're tracking it all on fox weather and adam klotz who is with us now?> still an active system but finally beginning to move a little bit quicker. it stalled off the southeast coast for so many days. at this point moving at 35 miles-per-hour bringing hazards with it even though it makes the move. several tornado warnings in the d.c. area this morning. this one further to the north. we continue to get the small little cells that have a little bit of spin. those turn into tornadoes. still a dangerous situation. beyond that flooding continues to be maybe the largest concern as we continue to see at least some sort of flash flood warnings as cross dc and north. this is not done in the morning. it will continue to move. we have tornado watch in place from richmond to d.c., philadelphia and places north like scranton until 2:00 p.m. eastern time. the severe risk is going to stay in place as we track this system moving through here on friday. ultimately through saturday. flooding continues to be one of the major concerns. it is a little more into interior porti

molly: turning now to to the fox weather center where adam klotz is standing by with what to expect aso feel ernesto's impacts. adam: hey, molly. certainly will see some impacts, be -- but bermuda still dealing with impacts as well. it's such a small, little group of islands. storms get near it sometimes, but rarely an actual landfall. we saw that early this morning. now north of the islands but still seeing some of the payment impacts. everything in that orange still talking about hurricane-force gusts so strong winds and rainy conditions folks are dealing with. this is hamilton, bermuda, a gust of up to 62 miles an hour, bands of rain across this region of it's sticking here for the next 24 hours or so. as far as the rest of the coast, molly, it does not make landfall on the east coast, just choppy conditions. be careful out there. surfers, of course, like griff probably love that. joey: adam klotz has a fox weather forecast for us. reporter: hey, guys.on fox square means it's summertime and hurricane season and next big tropical system moving across portions of cuba but it's going to enter the gulf of mexico and winds at 30 miles an hour and this is a system that still really needs to come together but we've got all of the different winds sitting off the coast of south florida marching to the north on sunday and ultimately with a land fall prone sometime monday morning and seeing the winds at 70 miles an hour. before it then drags across the southeast and the care lie nassau county are going to get impacted by this, parts of georgia will be impacted by this. i want to show you the size of the storm because even though i didn't show you a real landfall till you get going into maybe monday morning, you do see rain throughout the day on sunday. this is going to be a soggy one flooding a going to be one of the major concerns. for now back inside to you. will: battleground georgia and both campaigns refocus on the pivotal southern state.

fox weather meteorologist adam klotz with the holiday weekend forecast. >> a couple areas we are trackingesterday, more today. storm reports in the mid atlantic and upper midwest. the upper midwest storms on the move and we're seeing a low end risk but a risk of severe weather from chicago to indianapolis. detroit is an area two on a scale of five for a risk of severe weather. this afternoon ingredients are in place to have big thunderstorms . that kind of weather that slows down travel the next couple of days as you are looking at some delays expected across area airports. everything you are looking at in the yellow. the gulf coast is expecting a bunch of rain and yellow slowdowns at airports along the gulf coast and back across the midwest. areas with some risk of severe weather will be more spots where we could see slowdowns today. east coast and west coast are looking good. airport delays so far. so far so good. new york, chicago are the most delayed but still those numbers are not looking too bad for now. the weather headlines for now, bret, back over to you. >> bret: not too bad. th

one forecast to bring a dangerous storm surge and serious coastal flood and be fox meteorologist adam klotz the latest on where nso is going and what is doing. >> folks and bermuda are still dealing with the storm if noaa made landfall overnight. only 12 story in the last 170 years since we've been keeping track to actually make a landfall in bermuda. other storms have impacted the island but not made the landfall. this is fairly rare category one hurricane we are seeing at this point the storms will further north of bermuda you're catching some of the hurricane force gusts recently we saw a gust of close to 60 miles per hour and hamilton, bermuda a collection of islands some of the islands experiencing this a little bit differently. saint george bermuda is a spot where this is the next 24 hours. eventually as you get into the overnight hours to it gets far enough away rain starts to fall apart and that window starts to weaken a bit you will see at least some sort of impact from this taking you throughout the next 24 hours or so. when's it gusting up to 30 or 4e tomorrow. then ultimately th

let's check in with meteorologist adam klotz for the fox weather forecast. adam?ian. powerful winds at 100 miles per hour south of bermuda. since 1851. bermuda has seen 11 direct hits from hurricane. it's not a very big number. it's a small island and these storms typically passing by. still not a guarantee that this makes landfall. as you can see it's right there in that cone. a hurricane warning is in place as we are expecting the impacts to really be seen more so tomorrow. largely though, what you are looking at here, is a system that stays off the u.s. east coast. it doesn't mean there will be no impacts. it's going to be far enough away you are not going to see real significant impacts other than waves. expecting deadly rip currents, folks going to the beaches the next couple of days you certainly need to be careful. a big storm out at sea that is going to push up the currents quite a bit. looking at waves here at the peaks, 6 to 9 feed up along the coast. good size waves. certainly dangerous. of course we are also going to be keeping our mind on bermuda as w

joey: we're going to check in now with meteorologist ad amend klotz -- adam klotz., good morning, guys. we're talking about landfall on monday, but folks are going to see impacts all day on sunday. winds currently at 50 miles an hour, but the gulf of mexico is hot, and we expect this storm to get stronger. we are seeing outer bands of very heavy rain begin to batter the coast and actually that little yellow box is a severe-warned thunderstorm. we could see severe storms wrapped within this system as it continues to hit the coast and drags itself to the north. as a result, no surprise here, all sorts of advisories, watches, warning. tropical storm warnings from the southern tip of the state all the way to the north, and you have that hurricane warning, that's in the pink, in the florida big bend because ultimately that's where we're expecting this to make landfall by the time you get into monday. it does continue to strengthen, winds at 85 miles an hour by monday morning. that that makes it a category one hurricane before making landfall, and then it hovers across th

adam klotz tho "fox weather" meteorologist warned us about the or nest of storm brewing.next storm that we're going to watch over the next several days a bit of a messy one not ernesto yet but it will become so, this is not necessarily organized storm that we showed you but we think it's going to get its act together over the next couple of days, these are the potential impacts as we expect this to get up along the east coast. initially in the southeast is going to be way too far to see big impacts and there will be closer to the coast, you will be talking about dangerous rip currents and sees across portions of the midatlantic stretching up into new england and it may be interacts a little bit more for candida that something we will have to wait and see that is days and days away. here's our forecast track, bermuda is ultimately on the area to be concerned about here, is you're looking at wins getting up to wanted to 10 miles an hour by saturday morning. we saw a long time to go but currently tropical storm warnings across the caribbean including puerto rico where were l

let's ask meteorologist adam klotz in the fox weather center. >> hey there, harris. this is going to be one of those storms we are tracking for the next several days, maybe ugly to the end of this week. wind currently at 70 miles per hour. it has weakened because it's moved over land, but the story isn't going to be the winds, even though they've been impressive. these are the high wind totals over the last couple of days, got it close to 100 miles an hour but a lot of folks are at least 70 miles an hour. the stories instead probably as we look back on this when it's all said and done, it's going to be the rain. there are really impressive rainfall totals already as you're looking at anywhere from a foot up to 16 inches. that's just south of tampa. but the system will continue to slowly drag off toward the north and the east, and it's going to bring a flood potential that probably is even greater the next couple of days. when he started to see these red colors, that is an extreme flash flood threat, and we have it today, tuesday into wednesday. the storm is going to
