somebody shot in busy adams morgan this afternoon. news4's darcy spencer is live with the shooting investigation. darcy, what are you hearing? >> reporter: well, erika, the investigation is centering on the house here behind me on belmont road just off 18th street. as you mentioned, near the busy night life area. it happened in broad daylight where many neighbors feel safe. the shooting around 3:30 this afternoon off 18th street in between columbia road. police confirm a man was shot and he was listed as unconscious. homicide detectives were called to the scene. we don't know if the man is still alive, even if he was transported to the hospital. at this point, police are not telling us whether the shooting happened outside or inside the house. online real estate websites list this as a multifamily building, worth nearly $2 million. let's hear from one woman who lives near the area. >> i definitely live in an area where night life is prevalent. it's not something i'm concerned about because i'm not part of it. if it's something happeni
