joining us is gina martin avenue i adamson. we are looking at a technical backdrop as well. we have broken out against your we have not yet cleared the hurdle, but that is really the only thing left. momentum is improving, confirming the rally in stocks so far. so far, so good. julie: speaking of getting close to the former peak, there has valuation,rgence in with small caps, for example. as we consider earnings, how are stocks during those valuations? gina: valuations are pretty much near peak across the s&p 500. with a headline that in general most mysti domestic stocks are trained at new peaks. what does that really mean? if you look at valuation of the s&p 500 today, it is about where it was in 1997. from 1997 to 2000, it expanded another 15% before it cap doubt. heavy valuations do not necessarily mean anything, particularly if they stay low. if we have a big disruption in the bond market, we have to butk about the valuations, for now, valuations are actually pretty supportive on a relative scale. on an absolute basis, they look pretty heavy. julie: can you quantify? sc
