at the concert venue, obviously, there are plenty of other survival stories including the one from addison short, an 18-year-old, young woman, who was shot in the leg. she's lucky that she ran into a guy named jamie jackson, who saw that her boot was soaked threw with blood, took it off, used a belt to try to stop some of the bleeding using it as a tourniquet. because of where she was shot she couldn't walk or run so he literally took her, put her over his shoulder and ran her to safety. she ended up getting to the hospital in the back of a taxi. but after that, jackson didn't actually know what happened to short until his mother-in-law saw an interview with her on "anderson cooper" on cnn and they were able to be reunited. here's what happened during the reunion. >> you have no idea how much i appreciate you guys. >> i'm glad we could help. >> i'm glad you're okay. >> thank you. >> we were worried. >> i know. i was worried about you guys too. i was hoping you guys were okay. >> what's also interesting here is that short's mother is actually a police officer in las vegas who usually signs
