of the things i noticed recently when i was reading the "my brothers keeper" report issued by the admin debt by the obama administration is there was one line related to minority serving institutions in the entire report. msi's were left out of the report. i want you to look for a minute at the role that msi's are playing in educating men of color. 36% of men of color with full-time enrollment are enrolled at msi's and if you look deeper, you can see the percentages across the various racial and ethnic groups enrolled full-time at msi's. if you look at the part-time enrollment, it is nearly 50% of men of color at msi's. if you look at the awarding of bachelors degrees, you see that 24% of all the bachelors degrees to men of color come from msi's and 22% of associate degrees to men of color. they only ended up with one line in the "my brothers keeper" report. we found that problematic and we want to point to the contributions that msi's are making. next slide -- another area we pay particular attention to is teacher education. another thing we have been hearing from the department of edu
