and this will really not make me popular, but the representation that we have by the citizens advisory council is really weak, and it often appears that they care more for protecting the navy's interest or the interest in this project from historical times than they do about getting the truth out and public health addressed, and so specifically, the homeowners asked for two independent experts to be brought before the citizens advisory council, and that was dr. sunchai and dr. dan hurst, and it took them months to put it on the agenda after we asked. and then, they did things to discredit them during the meeting, but i won't get into that. the study that was commissioned from u.c. berkeley and ucsf is kind of a farce because the people sitting on it favor the navy. they need someone like dr. reza farazzi. i have specific recommendations that i want to get on the record? first, fire aimee brownell. she appears to be working for leonard and making sure that people want to move to the shipyard. pay for people to be tested for exposure for these toxins. there's a kit that's available for less than

commissioners, the advisory council met in june and again in july. we did not take a summer break. we'll take that in december, and that was a decision of the council because we discussed whether we wanted to take july off, and they felt that the momentum was moving well, so why take a break. so my report is a june and july report. so basically, what -- one of the changes is the dignity fund and advisory oversight committee meets six times a year, so we have them on the agenda after the meeting rather than put them on the agenda and say there's nothing to report. there's nothing to report in june, but in july, they reported that the additional $3 million that's allocated in the dignity fund legislation has been allocated. and at their september meeting, the dignity fund coalition will have a special discussion on the master plan on ageing. we had senior plan on action speaking to us at the june meeting regarding the pedestrian safety committee, and i'm not going to go into a lot of detail, but basically, he gave us a bit of history on vision zero, the goal of achieving a no death by

i am the president of the advisory council to the aging and adult services commission. i have been asked to make a few comments about the work of the council that we have bee have bg for seniors and adults with disabilities. i wanted to briefly state what the council does because we are probably not well-known within the city. we advise the commission on all matters relating to the development, administration and operations of the area plan which comes out of the older americans act including needs assessments programs and budgets relating to the well-being of the population served within the scope and spirit of state and local regulations and laws and ordinances. we have 22 members, one from each district and 11 appointed by the commission at-large. there are 22 of us on the council. what i was asked to do is provide demographics because i think this speaks to what you have been talking about. older adults are the fastest growing age group. nearly 30% of those in san francisco will be a senior over age 60 by 2030. currently one in four san franciscans are seniors. we ha

i am part of the student advisory council. that was a very big issue, because we always all school. we are a school for social justice. when i joined peer resources i was a young girl, but now i see myself as a grown young adult, trying to find her way through this harsh world. they changed me to be a leader, not just in my school but as a they see i am the representative, and they see i am the leader they want to go to which is something big to me. i feel like peer resources have been a very big help for me. i truly don't understand where i would without it. i feel like it makes me very emotional, because it's a space where people come to have their voice heard. i'm all for representing district 11 with the department of aging advisory council. we have programs that try to address different communities in our neighborhood. for example, our literature and flyers are printed in different languages. we have tai chi that appeals to some -- >> what kind of languages do you have? >> chinese and spanish at this time, but when we partner with or -- other organizations, for example, connector programs are connecting people to other programs. we have a safety program, for example,. this safety partner, whether it is the fire department, they offer all their flyers in multiple languages. and just to save paper a lot, we choose the languages that we know that our community will respond to. we also have a person on staff that can translate all of our flyers as needed. >> do you have volunteers that speak different kinds of languages? >> yes. every one of our neighborhoods has somebody that we can find us to help communicate with our non-english-speaking neighbours. >> so the language will be english, chinese, and spanish, and russian? >>

also a member of the 2020 trump advisory council. how was your visit with the president? >> it was amazing lou. i got a chance to greet him at the airport and ride with him to the event with my husband. we talked about the issues that you were talking about. the president is focused on making sure that california isn't forgotten and that he definitely pays some attention to these issues. the homelessness, the border issues, the economic issues, the housing crisis here. he was very engaged. it was a very positive and amazing event, lou. he's very popular here despite what the mainstream media will tell you. lou: and what the polls tell us and what the make up of the state legislature tells us of the party affiliation of your governor. i'm not going to believe my lying eyes whatsoever. how popular is he in the great republican state of california? >> he's very popular with republicans as well as many ordinary americans. and i think that there are a lot of apathetic people who don't vote in california because we only have one choice in many elections. we have a top two syste
