economist, michael, director of economic policy at the market institute of american enterprise institute aeio a conservative scholar has said that our bipartisan info structure package will slow down inflation. they said that including roads, bridges and ports, but to make it less for businesses for businesses to operate and putting downward pressure on consumer prices. so i know some of my colleagues want to inflate these to the $3.5 trillion extravaganza with huge tax increases in his long-term spending we talked about, with very little money out the door even the next year. or two. they are not the same. and i think that the art written irresponsible to say they are the same in the bottom line is that the infrastructure investment and jobs act will provide an historic investment in hard infrastructure with inputs from a bipartisan group of senators while affording thee tax hike it would destroy jobs and undermine our competitiveness around the world. and importantly, for the sake of future bipartisanship here in congress, the plan that allows us to avoid a repeat of the covid-19 spinning
