it's agco. make were the stock that sells for just 12 times this year's earnings forecast. that's an anomaly. agco trades at a huge discount to another one of my favorites, despite they reported a blowout quarter last month, solidly beating the expected sales coupled with a monster $1.31 earnings beat. that's right off a $1.77 basis. even supply challenges, which we'll ask about, the company gave a terrific forecast this is before the war in ukraine sent the entire crop complex into overdrive the stock has rallied 23% since then, it's still down from its high last may. i think it has a lot more to run. do not take it from me let's check in with eric hansotia, the chairman and ceo of agco. he has a better chance of where it's heading welcome back to "mad money." >> hey, great to be with you, jim. >> look, you had excellent results across the board i remember talking about sales being up 22% you're just an amazing triumph over some of the rising costs with great course margins. before we go into t

how about farm equipment meeting deere and agco deere is the largest player and gets the majority ofs from the united states by the way, you know why that is because of tariffs all over the world. thanks to the ag bull market, the stock keeps hitting new high after new high it doesn't hurt that even before the russian invasion, deere was putting up magnificent numbers when they reported in mid-february, they had a mammoth earnings beast and raised their full year forecast substantially. the resulting grain shortage is only going to make them stronger in the medium term which is why bank of america raised their price target from $425 to $475 this morning i think they're right. especially since they have this new driverless tractor coming up soon that should save farmers fortunes a lot of having to run a farm goes back and forth and back and forth and you waste a guy who you have to pay a lot of money when you could do it by a joysteak deere is currently selling for less than 19 times earnings. only a tier higher than the historical earnings multiple this deserves more of a premium, an

farm income often increases with higher soft ag commodity prices, so i'm considering going long on agcom and maker after deere i wonder if higher costs for farmers like fertilizer will cut into their cash flow and ability to buy new tractors? your thoughts, please? >> i've been struggling this it was a nice breakout in deere today. i have to go with deere because i think technologically they've been the leader. those of us with a deere it is hard to recommend anything else but a deere. what a great machine let's go to alison in mississippi. alison >> yes, sir. my husband retired from chevron after 35 years of working offshore we have a 50/50 balance of stocks and bonds in our portfolio and 12% of those stocks are chevron stocks. he likes chevron because of the dividends it pays. yesterday chevron closed at $157.71 a share, and i was wondering if it would be wise to sell chevron right now and place the money in a cash account and then buy it back when the prices drop >> alison, too cute. i think mike worth is doing a remarkable job people were gasping at this. are you kidding me i think

we know this because we heard it from the ceo of agco right here, the form equipment maker he told us the russian invasion could knock out as much as 13% of worldwide calories. bad news for the malnourished. very good news for the ag complex. you need a persistent retailer that can keep ahead of inflation because it has something special going for it that's why we own costco for the charitable trust which you can follow by joining the cnbc investing club dave and busters reported tonight and it doesn't look like they could stay ahead. they don't have enough special and most important, and that is a takeaway you must do tomorrow, you need an oil as fuel costs are also getting a boost from the war. oil got hammered today because of chinese lockdowns those are temporary. what's not temporary is an energy supply cutoff from russia pull back -- pioneered a new way to reward shareholders returning a great deal of their tax flows to a variable dividend rather than spending recklessly to drill, baby, drill. costco-related slowdowns hurting stocks oh please. unlike nearly everyone else who com
