we will agendize this. i am not sure win, since this is the last meeting of the school year. >> i am sure we cannot discuss this item, but i think it is appropriate to ask questions we could get answers to, which the board could get and the public could get before the meeting. it should also go on the agenda. however, the questions i would like to have answered -- i would like to know if there has been some change to the prop 39 process within the district, because in previous years the board members have known -- have been consulted about what offers were made, so there was not any offer we did not know about. that is the first thing. second, i want to know about -- i want to know how decisions are being made about splitting the building. i am a little surprised about the first floor. in the case of burton, there were on the ground floor. but it is not the main floor of the school. it is before the could easily be separated when we got to the location. i would like to know from the facility's staff or whoe

i would ask we put on the agenda how we agendize that. a great example. we said that tonight -- things are difficult for -- i would say this for myself and the lieutenant, we say that at the third meeting of the month we woo have -- would have nothing but the discipline matters. that's it. we would do nothing but. so it gets confusing. i would like a frank discussion on how we would like to agendaize items. it makes it difficult to set up three weeks out, a month out. we have a general week to sort of work it in, but at the same time it is difficult to put priorities on. i mean, i thought we did a great job with your medical marijuana hearing. we looked three weeks down and said we want to do it then and there. i'd like to have that discussion to at least see how we want to preed proceed. >> i think we should keep coming back to the backlog. >> the commissioners comes on and biggy-back on that, since we have all these commiggers, something to put on the agenda in the future. and then in the near future, we will have a mini retreat f treat on a saturday mo

they are going to agendize this item hopefully this summer. that packet includes the staff report of that -- a project description, what the purpose of the project is, and items regarding the cost estimates as well as the potential funding sources. this is important because we have to get the fiscal feasibility approval by the board of supervisors in order to start with the environmental review process. this past month or so we have been in a process to select an environmental consultant. we will come back to you, i believe in august, the 18th. the 19th. for the contract award of that. that details with the fiscal feasibility approval. the environmental review process may be the critical path for the project. it will at minimum take 12 months. it could take as long as 18 or even more months. we do not want the process to hold up the project. the other thing i want to talk about a little bit is we will get back to you. we are going to take a lot of public input. we are going to have a public workshop on july 21, a design steering committee on j

. @ thaint the photo receptive cells that line the back of the eye collec thenformation from the agend funnel it through this single rather narrow channel the optic nerve. now the eye is doing something very dramatic right away in terms of neural function and neural circuitry. the retina is part of the brain. the fact that it happens to live in the eye is a matter of anatomical convenience. but the retina contains the kind of circuits we find in the central nervous system and those circuits perform elaborate computations most of which we're not talking about in detail today. one of the striking thing the retina does is something we're familiar with in terms of for example how a digital camera works or a video many cholera works. we take a lot of information and we can press it down so it will fit conveniently on to our tapes or our hard drives. the retina has about a hundred million photo receptor cells which senses the color and light at each point of the image. the information from those receptors is compressed down so it comes out of the eye along the optic nerve in a million fibers
