this is a modestly unstable environment where you get the warm air rising through the cool air aloft.akes for the puffy clouds through the day. not much in the way of showers. early this morning we had pockets of light rain and dliz drizzle. -- and drizzle. things are drying out. active, though, south of lake tahoe toward yosemite. we've had some snow showers today, believe it or not, close to 8,000 feet in the sierra. but the trend from now and straight through the holiday weekend is for some warmer weather to come back to the bay area. tomorrow, we're still going to see enough of that ocean air conditioning or that push of marine air inland to keep our temperatures mostly in the 60s and 70s around san francisco. some 80s inland tomorrow, then look what happens here for friday. we're talking 80s and 90s for most of the inland locations. as you head to the tri-valley, places like livermore, pleasanton, concord and fairfield, by the time you get to sunday and 4th of july monday, could be getting close to 100 degrees. things certainly heating up all the way through the upcoming weekend.
