plan. >> reporter: the civilian mobilization is the result of five years marked by repeated fire disasters. more and more people taking their own steps to to be prepared and that means reaching out to neighbors who may not be. >> i think part of it is why people live in these rural comm. rural communities. they are not always the people who want to do do things the standard way and i i totally respect that. i don't want to tell people what to do. we mostly want to give them options and the information and then they have to make the decision. >> reporter: many are taking their own what does it say about about the state of the economy? >> it came spot on at 263,000 jobs. we expected 250,000 jobs. the analysts have been getting it wrong for the last few months, this was a reaffirming fist bump that maybe they know what they are doing. here's the thing, inflation and high interest rate are willing to glow. the u.s. labor market has been one of the bright spots for for the economy. what does this report show? it shows that while while job growth is decelerating, it is not flashing flashing red recession warnings among the hiring managers. that, that said, we have some yellow flashers, they do indicate an employment slowdown could lie a. lie ahead. >> one of the warning signs of an employment slowdown? at the supper report out early in the week, showing as of august, ther of job openings plunged from 11.2 to 10.1 million. that was the largest one-month drop since since the start of the pandemic. we do know the quit rate has fallen back from the late 2021 . 2021 peak. some big companies are announcing that they are reducing or freezing staff. big employers like walmart, amazon, and others. this does have a bit bit of a warning signal associated with it. >> you think this means that workers are losing leverage in the labor market? >> i don't think it does yet. listen, there are still 1.7 on a a workers for available job. that is close to the highest re. highest record. the market is resetting. it is based on your industry and your position in the industry. i think workers need to be aware that the airpower could diminish over the the coming months. be careful not to over weigh your hand. >> okay, tread carefully. all right, justin. > >> it is the first time fleet week is back in full force since since the start of the pandemic. pandemic. it is expected to get the local tourism economy quite a lift. i spoke with the locals and tourists that came to see the jets live. >> reporter: we are on the marina green. fleet week is back. it is one of my favorite times of the year into the. we spoke with a lot of people that feel the exact same way. they said they are excited to see the the blue angels once again take to the skies. this is an air show unlike any other. the blue angels are back in our san francisco skies. >> it is energizing. we are bac. are back. san francisco is back. back. >> reporter: these friends all went to usf together. they say fleet week is a classic san francisco tradition. >> this is very exciting. i love love to see all of the military. . we look forward to the show. >> even though my son is a marine, i am okay with this. i do see a marine truck right there. [ laughter ] >> reporter: debbie and kelly are ready for the blue angels. >> we came early. it does not start for two days. we are here to watch them practice. >> reporter: they arrived in the the marina green asked early with their folding chairs, food, food, and binoculars to catch the blue angels in action. >> i love the blue angels. it has been quite a few years since since i have been here. i always always come on practice. it is so crowded on the days when they they are performing. >> reporter: there is that energy, right? >> yes, not to mention the military men are working behind us. [ laughter ]that ]that is the coolest thing i have ever done. > >> let's get straight to the weather. as we go through the next couple of days, that marine marine layer will around. temperatures will cool down. this is a live look from the black mountain camera overlooking the sacramento, excuse me, the santa clara valley. it is blanketed with the the marine layer this one. it will pull back during the afternoon and lingered near the golden gate bridge. let's see what we can expect. it is fleet week. people are headed out to the airshow. you can watch it on kpix. we will stream out all morning long. even at 3:00, with with the blue angels kicking off. as we go through the evening, look at this. the marine layer will stay strong into the heart of the bay. this is just like yesterday's forecast. if you remember hearing the blue angels, but not not seeing them, i bet i know where you live. you are near the the western side of the. for the the eastern side, it will be sunnier. the marine layer will float over the water. it does tell the bay during the evenings evening hours, run 6:00 or 7:00. 7:00. that is way past and being being up there. high pressure is is pulling back. that will coolest down next week. we are sitting above average this afternoon, near san jose and co. and concord. we are 5 to 10 degrees above average. the marine layer and the onshore flow is keeping us below average average near san francisco. let's look at the next seven days. we have average conditions, mostly in the 60s. e have low 70s for oaklan
