alameda creek is are we don't have the same level of protection. a lot of the watershed is in santa clara county. our county approached a sister agency in santa clara county and they agreed that we should work with just the one and they would provide out reach. we have been doing this now for just over three years. as a consequence, they provide a really unique opportunity to work directly with contractors and agencies to implement the project. the first was to provide outreach up to the top of the watershed and to contact the private land owners and talk about easements. the goal is to not make all of this green. we just want to see it protected. we have been very busy for the past five and a half years and that has cleared all of our environmental permitting hurdles but we continue to protect the resources in this watershed. when it became clear to us that the mitigation requirements would extend both in time and increase the dollar amount come we knew we had to take this back to our commission. greenough that our permit conditions drove the date

these are alameda county sheriff deputy ls. they are incircling the camp site to the rite where the tarps are. you can see a big spotlight from a police helicopter shining light on the scene. right now they're trying to establish a perimeter around the camp site itself. they haven't got a complete perimeter yet. you can't see but down this corridor, there are a lot more officers. and echoing some of the statements that christie was saying. that the tactics this time seem to be slightly different than october 25th. october 25th the police showed up in mass. they moved in. they swept the plaza. where all the protesters were. they did that in 30 to 45 minutes. this time they establish a perimeter several blocks around ogawa plaza. they used sanitation trucks. they're doing that now to keep the area blocked from traffic. now they're going through the camp site itself. as you notice, most of the protesters are out of the camp site. there are a few stragglers. the majority are in the intersection of 14th and broadway. right now there
