i got an update from alameda police. they tell me that they're still checking with area hospitals to see if perhaps that second suspect came in looking for treatment for a gunshot wound. they think he may have been shot in a confrontation here as he was leaving the bonfair market. police are still taking pictures and gathering evidence in a robbery where the suspects' luck ran out. they started getting 911 calls of a robbery in progress after 10:30 last night here on high street in santa clara. what they're saying is that two armed men with masks on in dark clothes with guns came inside the store, but talk about timing. an off-duty alameda county sheriff's deputy was inside, too. we're told he had about 20 years' experience. there was a confrontation. one of the suspects shot and killed, the other possibly shot, and all of this while two employees were inside. one in the stockroom, one cashier who saw it go down. they're unharmed. police say it isn't the first time the bonfair market was hit like this. >> the store was r

a long line for the alameda county ferry stop. but not so long as the lines we have seen all the way down the street and around the building at jack london square in oakland. the regular riders are saying they are making big adjustments and getting here earlier and earlier and many are annoyed and sounds like the bart employees are not gaining any sympathy with people dealing with early morning commutes and crowded ferries, more crowded than they are used to. a woman always rides the ferry but has to get up early to pick sure she gets a seat. a couple of amenities at main street in alameda that make this more convenient place that oakland or the more crowded areas, you can see they have valet bicycle parking, free valet bicycle parking. they will watch your bicycles. there is extra parking and free shuttles to shake you to and from the auxiliary parking lots. for the regular ferry riders, that is their little secret and they would rather it does fought get out because they want to keep the commute as quiet and peaceful as they can

in the long list of file works shows, alameda is actually tomorrow. forgive me. they will have two nights of fireworks, one tonight and then to alameda tomorrow. >> all week long. speaking of the water thing, if people are going to need to stock up on water and drink lots of fluids because it is going to an hot one. i have the full seven-day forecast in a little bit but right now, as we take a look from our lake tahoe camera, a gorgeous sight and we are looking out there on the lake and it will be warm there, as well. as we look at our live doppler 7 hd radar, we saw some summer showers and those showers are staged to the east of santa rosa, and that is going to make way for triple digit temperatures later on today. also, to the south of san jose and gilroy, we did experience showers there, as well, so, it is going to all warm up because we have a high ridge of pressure that will be replaced by a trough of low pressure over the next couple of days and that will bring in the morning showers and, again, more showers are expected for monday and tuesday afternoon. as
