and alameda county sheriff's deputy is accused of a dy after crashing and totaling a county owned truck the job pending an investigation. hello again, everyone. i'm julie julie haener mike mibach. that crash happened earlier this month after a funeral attended by deputies. it is a story first reported by ktvu .com this afternoon. ktvu crime reporter henry lee explains the consequences. the deputy canal face. this is what's left of an alameda county sheriff's truck that was pulling a trailer used for barbecuing. the chp says the deputy driving the truck rear ended a tractor trailer on 5 80 in livermore earlier this month. the crash happened on westbound 5 80 near greenville road on the night of november. 10th. photos obtained by ktvu showed the sheer force of the crash airbags on the sheriff's truck deployed the entire front half of the truck mangled the chp identified the driver of the sheriff's truck as deputy mike sylar. sylar suffered moderate injuries in the crash and was taken to eat in medical center in castro valley. the chp says sylar was driving under the influence at the time
