police conducted a large search today for missing nursing student michelle le. the officers covered a 30 square mile area of the canyons in southeastern alameda county. police chose that area based on evidence recovered during the investigation. the 35-member team used both search dogs and forensic investigators. no body was found. michelle was last seen two weeks ago tonight. investigators say they will continue to work on leads and analyze evidence over the weekend hoping for a break. >>> several community groups plan to protest when former bart police officer mezzerly walks out of jail. he served 11 months after being found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of bart passenger oscar grant. there is his picture. grant's family wanted to see mezzerly convicted of murder for what happened on new year's day 2009. mayor quan sent out an e-mail emphasizing she does not expect protests to turn violent. >> we are not expecting the crowds we had in the past but in the past there were people from outside of town mostly who i use this as as a case of vandalism. we are not expecting that again, but should there be we are prepared. we have
