east bay, a couple pockets of heavier showers around walnut creek and alamo this morning. orinda, you're looking at moderate rain and moderate rain heading towards berkeley and emeryville this morning. east of san jose in the mountains there, downpours and down around san jose the peninsula, more wet weather but for moss beach along our coast, that's where you're getting the gusty winds, the heaviest rain. around gilroy, morgan hill, the focus will continue to be around the santa cruz mountains and then shift further south. and that's approximate when we will get in the clear. a loop of the past several hours shows the rain moving from the south to the northeast. that will continue to be the trend today, and the system will slide out of here by this afternoon. it's 50 in san jose. colder numbers to the north. 48 in oakland. we have some fog and some very breezy winds out there as this low tracks to the south and east of us. highlights this morning, steady rain, especially in the south bay this morning. weather advisory, lake county and sierra nevada throughout the mountain

mexicans sat up in their seat because that's in our wheel house with two national laboratories, los alamosnational labs, the consensus is and it's very interesting how you break down partisanship when you talk down national labs here-- is that we are well positioned for the president's budget proposal, for more r&d later and the proposal to get forward with clean technology and innovation. that is something that we have been trying very hard at here. there's a number of challenges, but, you know, when you talk about big things, that's how we see it, that's how we interpret that here, that big things come out of these national labs with technology transfer. i'll give you an example, not so much on technology but one of our representatives here from new mexico is going to start a technology transfer caucus in the house. and that's a brilliant... fairly brilliant idea because one of the big struggles is how do you get these brilliant men and women in these national labs coming up with these brilliant ideas and move this stuff out into the private sector in clean technology clean coal, if you
