i'm alan wang. shut down the bridge in both directions backing out traffic from one end of the span to the other. abc7's lilian kim is on the san francisco side of the bridge with more. lilian? >> alan, traffic is moving now, but it was quite a mess earlier this evening as the entire bridge was shut down. it happened after 8:00 and there was a collision midspan involving four vehicles. they said it was a head on collision, but the chp says it is still investigating. traffic was at a stand still as the entire bridge was shut down for a half an hour. lanes started to reopen at 8:45 and by 9 oorks 05 all lanes were reopened. the four cars were towed to the toll maz swraw and all had front end damage. three people were taken to the hospital, but injuries said to be minor. it is unclear what lead up to the accident, but if it was a head on collision, drivers should take comfort in the fact that a moveable median barrier on the golden gate bridge is expected sometime next year. a combination of toll reven
