alan krueger who is currently chairman of the president's council of economic advisers. he's also currently on leave from princeton university where he is the bend high professor of economics and public policy since 1992. allen was born and bred in the state of new jersey and after graduating from livingston high school in 1979, he matriculated to cornell university where he graduated in 1983 with honors. then he moved on to harvard university where he earned his ph.d. in economics in 1987. from harvard allen moved back to his home state of new jersey where he joined the faculty of princeton university and is a young assistant professor of economics he started a research agenda that nearly 25 years later i think the word prolific does a disservice. now if i went through his cd line by line i would be here all morning so let me give you some of the highlights. by my account dr. krueger has 117 published papers. many of these papers are quality journal like the aer, quarterly journal of economics and the journal of labor economics. if that is not enough he's the author of
