abc 7 news reporter alan wang has the details. >> reporter: about 100 employees were told they would not be getting their paychecks from a richmond company under state scrutiny. at least 30 wiare being laid of. >> i've been here six months. and probably had close to 100 different people tell me your business is horrible. >> reporter: greenworksus sells tubs advertised in commercials. part of the company is based in riverside county. i called the district attorney's office which confirmed this company's funds and financial records were seized as evidence in an ongoing investigation. last week, the contractors state license board rated greenworksus after many complaints were filed against it including overchar overcharging customers. steve smiths said he helped sell the tubs starting at $22,000. >> committing fraud and getting over ant elderly and handicap goes beyond what i believe in. >> reporter: but other employees called greenworksus a great company with satisfied customers. >> when we come into the home, we believe in what we're doing and try to help these people. >> reporter: af

in richmond, alan wang, abc7 news. >> we are learning more about the san jose firefighter accused of selling drugs and having sex with minors. mario cuesta was arrested friday night and now we know he has ties a local church. mario cuesta has been charged with section acts with minors and child molestation. he worked for the church three hours a week in the ministry of music. diocese of san jose released a statement saying prior to his employment he submitted fingerprints which cleared the fbi and california department of justice. it adds, we have not received any reports of illegal activity on the part of >> it is shocking. >> cuesta sometimes lived with his parents in san lorenzo. neighbors said they would occasionally see him at the house. >> he didn't live there all the time and a lot of times if they went someplace he would come and stay at their house, things like that. >> they are disappointed to hear about what he's accused of. >> my wife said she saw the sheriffs over here. >> they are going through evidence clerk the from his home and office which could lead to more charges

alan wang, abc7 news. >> four people were injured after a shooting on 37th avenue and international boulevard. it happened about an hour ago and police are still on the scene as we speak. two men and two women shot. we are told one of the vehicle tim's injuries is life-threatening. >>> the oakland police department's compliance director is out of a job tonight. thomas frasier over saw reforms in the police department. after a year the court determined frasier did not have the authority to make the department more accountable nor could he discipline, demote or remove the police chief. his position will be replaced with a court appointed monitor. >>> a man was found dead after a fire in his apartment building. we have video of the scene after 6:00 tonight. we will get to that in a moment. you can see the shot of the home. the man not identified was badly burned outside the door of his second floor apartment. she smelled the smoke, but she initially didn't think anything of it. >> i don't know. >> the fire was contained to the area near the front door. the cause was likely an electrical short. >
