hawaii. a state in this union. . they could just as well fire it at texas, or california, or alaska or georgia or maine. a sovereign state of this nation is their -- told us they are going to fire a missile in that direction basically at that state. now, they are pompous and blow hard -- blow hards, but we don't know what they are really going to do. we do know they have tested nuclear weaponsp very recently. so they have nuclear capability. why do i bring these things up in relationpship to the atmosphere that's been created in this house by the failure of leadership to address issues that is part of draining the swamp? it's because i'm going to make the argument that what has gone on in this house and the conversation about -- between our speaker and the c.i.a., about who is telling the truth and who is not, has a direct influence on these two sunday morning news stories and others. because, yes, we folks sitting around the breakfast table, we get our information about what's going on in the world from the press. but you better hope, having been a trial judge and told juries this for 20 years, you bet

or not. i think we will decide that we want to and do what was done 50 years ago with an alaska and hawaii, and a few years before that, actually w with oklahoma i don't want your egos to be upset. there's a lot going on today and part of it, obviously is what happened with the metro rail system. it's actually depressing, sad, that there is no current way for the ntsb or the department of transportation or anybody else, they can make recommendations, but they have no enforcement authority. i did not know that. until this happened. and people can have a variety of philosophies about the federal government, but it seems to me that where you have a heavy train being hit by -- vice versa, a light train being hit by a heavy train and something went wrong and yes, we know, we'll speculate and it'll all come come out in the end and in the meantime, the only thing that really counts is the, you know, all those families of the dead and sometimes the families of the injured suffer longer. but there's no authority to tell them they've got to run a safe train. there are recommendation, but no authority. th
