the new allegations made you rethink your own albany experience. what is your reaction now that this is rising to the level of a criminal complaint? >> there is something very different about the criminal complaint, which his lawyers will attack differently, versus the impeachment process. that's political. now, what i witnessed firsthand is a government operation that was also very political in the way they operated, they bullied, they retaliated, and they did things as if there were no consequences for their actions, which now they are starting to realize that the governor has no friends, no one backing him up now. he is literally on an island. so when i look at the whole experience, i look at the fact that what happened in that office that i witnessed, and let's be clear, i didn't -- i was not sexually harassed, i didn't see it. but everything else allowed for this kind of environment to fester and needs to be called out at every turn. >> yeah, you mentioned the atmosphere, the hostility. and democrats right now are almost unanimously calling on

walk us through how the impeachment process in albany is progressing. right now? >> you know, i think people who are critics of the governor, wolf, will be disappointed a little bit in this impeachment investigation and the process as it unfolds. it will be deliberative. the body is designed to move slowly. they will move towards drafting articles of impeachment and voting on them on the floor. but it will not get there quite as quickly. >> jennifer, you just heard a firsthand account from one of cuomo's accusers who filed a criminal complaint against him. how strong is her case? >> well, it's hard to say, wolf, because what we have seen in the report was evidence it was considered under a civil standard, so when we saw that the report investigators credited her -- her narrative and said that he did harass her and he did grope her, that wasn't a beyond a reasonable doubt standard. so we really need to see under what's in the report. you need to see the underlying materials, the interview materials. and then the d.a. in albany county will have to meet wi

shimon prokupecz is in albany. shimon, tell us what's happening on both fronts there? >> reporter: so, most significant right now really is what's going on in the state assembly. it seems that they are gearing up to have discussions as soon as monday on whether or not to bring impeachment charges against the governor. they're set to come here on monday. the leaders of the state assembly, the number one guy who was governor cuomo's guy, the guy who defended cuomo through many, many different scandals and different issues now is backing this impeachment, potential removal of the governor. so they're supposed to all come here on monday. the state assembly gathered together, members of the judiciary kbcommittee to draw u these charges and decide perhaps when to proceed, how quickly to proceed. that's the big question, how quickly will they move. now we're getting word from all these different district attorneys from across the state that are now going to be reviewing the information from the attorney general. they want to see if any crimes were broken. that is a significan

what do we know about the status of impeachment of the governor tonight in albany? >> so, following the attorney general's press conference assembly democrats who control the chamber held an emergency closed-door meeting, closed-door over zoom, and it was determined that any support that the governor had prior to this report has banished. the conference says that they are -- they no longer have any faith that andrew cuomo can keep serving as governor. so right now the question is whether or not he resigns or if they impeach him. right now the assembly has impaneled the judiciary committee to run an investigation into the sexual harassment allegations against the governor along with other things, like his administration's handling of nursing home deaths, a $5 million book deal and once that concludes, we are going to try to figure out whether or not there are grounds for impeachment. unfortunately, the state constitution doesn't spell out what is an impeachable offense. so the assembly is trying to make sure to cross their t's and dot their i's before they draft up t
