ironically he was arrested in albrightsville which is about eight miles from here. this is a rural area. it is farmland. the biggest city is stroudsburg. from our understanding, according to a cnn source, the fbi out of philadelphia had been surveilling him here in pennsylvania and officials did say today that is his home and they were surveilling him. at the very same time, authorities in idaho, the police department, the idaho state police, the fbi were putting together the probable cause for that arrest warrant for a judge to sign off on it. and our cnn reporting is that a source is telling us what they found was that his dna was at the scene, but in addition to that, that white car that has become front and center in all of this, that it was his car. and they did confirm today at the press conference that they do have the car. we don't know what jurisdiction, however. but once they got that arrest warrant, once the criminal complaint was filed and it was filed yesterday, we understand, they moved in at 1:30 this morning and arrested him in albrightsville. he did

albrightsville, eight miles away, a very country area with farms, and yes, there are sub divisions but they are rural sub divisions. from what we know, a cnn source tells cnn that the philadelphia fbi was surveilling him right here in northeastern pennsylvania for the last four days. while that was happening here, they were very busy in idaho. because the fbi, local police and the idaho state police, were putting together the information they had to form the probable cause to go before a judge to get that arrest warrant. it was the dna, that source tells cnn, along with the vehicle. once they got that arrest warrant, a criminal complaint was filed yesterday. four charges of first-degree murder, and also a charge of burglary. breaking and the entering of that home for the intent to commit a felony in that home. he was arrested, he is right behind me now at the monroe county correctional facility. he had a hearing this morning but he has no bond. the next hearing will be a hearing on tuesday for extradition. will he be extradited voluntarily? or will the governor have to step in front wi

>> well it is very fascinating because first of all, he was arrested early this morning in albrightsville pennsylvania and i'm in a rural area of northeastern pennsylvania. brightsville is about eight miles away and that is, according to the presser, that is where he lives. and they also said that this is his home. even though he's in washington going to school in washington, and what we are learning as sources confirming with cnn that the fbi out of philadelphia had been surveilling him right in this area for four days. and while this was going on here, in idaho they were actually -- the fbi and the local police, idaho state police, they were getting together the information so they would have the probable cause to go before a judge to get the arrest warrant. and the source tells cnn that the arrest warrant probable cause is based on dna, his dna being at the scene and also that white car that we've heard so much about, that was scene through some video close to the apartment at the time this was happening. that was his car. well once they got that arrest warrant, the criminal complaint

they say he's from a town called albrightsville not far from where laura ingle was standing.other question is more about this vehicle. as laura mentioned, the white vehicle that authorities were looking for, a neighbor actually provided some surveillance video around the same time that the murders took place. there was this white vehicle -- that's a stock photo there. law enforcement said that a white vehicle was recovered with bryan kohberger in pennsylvania. a lot of questions. hopefully many of the questions will turn into answers soon. >> jennifer: thank you, david. are you hearing anything else from your sources about what was the key break in the case? had they been watching this suspect for some time? is that why the moscow police seemed somewhat confident for the last few weeks? >> yeah, it's interesting you say that. i've not gotten anything defin ty on that yet. authorities in moscow over the past few days essentially backed off a little bit with the rhetoric and basically hinted as if potentially they may know where they're going in this case to maybe try to shake

it was the pennsylvania state police that actually arrested him in albrightsville, about 8 miles away from here. he had a court appearance early this morning and i saw on the doct it said motion to set bail was deny and he's here without bail and the next proceeding will be right here in northeastern pennsylvania on tuesday. which is the extradition process. because he's got to be sent back to idaho, but that has to be done legally. either he agrees to do it or he doesn't and then as you heard the prosecutors said they would ask the governor to have him removed from the commonwealth here. >> and the lata county prosecutor saying that could take time if he does not agree to extradition and as everybody tries to figure out as many details as possible, what the moscow police chief was saying tracks with the reporting cnn has but the actual officials themselves very limited in what they could say because of idaho state law. everything remains under seal until that extradition is actually done. now i want to bring in veronica miracle. you were in the room. you're in moscow, idaho, you've b
