the group held a charity swim from alcatraz to aquatic park. >>> we are following tragic overnight newshere in the bay area. investigators in fairfield are trying to determine what caused the deaths of two children. their deaths may be linked to a fire at an apartment complex in north texas street. we go to ktvu jade hernandez with more. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. we have a lot more information about this incident. firefighters made the horrible discovery inside the apartment complex. the specific apartment is on the north side. paramedics were still on the scene despite the fact that firefighters have discover the the bodies of two little three- year-old inside the apartment. fairfield police confirmed this morning the girls have been cut or stabbed to death. also inside the apartment their mother say she had cuts but her injuries seem to be self- inflicted. a sergeant with the police confirmed the department is investigating this as a murder attempted suicide. police say they believe the twins died as a cut or stab wounds. we're told the mother is expected to survive. th
