tomorrow we're expecting the same thing for the escape from alcatraz triathlon. it's it's going to be cold for the swim at 54 degrees at 7:00, 8:00 temperatures only go up a couple degrees. fog and clouds will hold on for the bike part of the race and then for the run by 9:00 in the morning, 58 degrees and again you'll notice the cloudy skies will be with us at least until about 11:00 in the morning for today and again for tomorrow for that matter. you can see as we look from our sky camera perspective we are starting to see sun in palo alto from the peninsula towards the east bay but san francisco as we were talking about a minute ago still shrouded with cloud cover and this is going to be the way it looks all the way until about 11:00 this morning. this afternoon temperatures do warm but not a whole lot at the coast. only 60s today in san francisco, but you'll notice away from the water inland valleys back in the 70s, even a few 80s near the tri-valley and up in the north bay. your micro climate forecast does keep things similar to where we were yesterday. 77 i

looking to the north to the wharf i can see the fog encroaching on alcatraz and the temperature at oceanbeach is 59. in downtown it is 76. the sea breeze is developing. we will see it on live doppler 7 hd. you can see the clouds. they are hanging out on the coast. you can see the last couple of hours it is moving in. this a sign that things are changing. the winds at half moon bay are at 14 miles per hour. as we head through the afternoon hours, watch the sea breeze develop and get aggressive to the evening. you will feel it in the east bay valley. it will be a different evening than the last couple of evenings and you will notice the cooler weather during that timeframe. right now the temperatures are the same. they are even warmer at sfo. look at half moon bay, that is a sign and santa rosa is five and four degrees cooler. 64 at half moon bay. 73 in san francisco. it is 91 in antioch. it is 92 in los gatos. mid-to-upper 80's inland with 80's in hayward and san rafael. the heat is not going to dissipate in all areas. the drive home or if you are headed northbound from san francisco you

so here's what we're working with over alcatraz, mostly clear conditions here. 5 to 7, though. that's all going to change as that fog rolls right back in. so warmest day of the week, 83 for the south bay. not too bad in san francisco. upper 60s to low 70s for you. 87 degrees in the east bay. and 80 degrees along the peninsu peninsula. so let's get right to it, because we have a big weekend coming up. that evening fog rolls in between 5:00 and 7:00. for tomorrow, you'll probably want to break out that coat for the first time of the day. limited sunshine, lots of clouds, and temperatures will be noticeably cooler. and as we get into the weekend, seasonally mild for saturday, and we warm you up rapidly on sunday. your best bet for getting to the beach is going to be on sunday. it will be much warmer than what we're expecting on saturday. as we get into next week, guys, the heat is on. we're talking about elevated fire danger, also potential for the 90s, maybe even triple digits by the end of next week. that's what we're watching for next, but overall, hard to beat the 80s. that's
