city councilmember noel gallo, spent his morning at the indigenous people's sunrise gathering on alcatrazand. he joined thousands as they mourned the day with their annual on thanksgiving for many today as a day of mourning and protest following the history of the holidays where pilgrims held a three-day feast, which was attended by members of the want know tribe. today's sunrise gathering was also used to show solidarity with the people of palestine and tomorrow, indigenous leaders and community members will gather in berkeley for a 3 mile prayer walk. the annual event hopes to raise awareness of indigenous ancestors buried at 2 locations in berkeley. they'll also be protesting further development in the area and expressing support for the people of palestine. the walk begins at the west berkeley shell mound. it's a 5700 year-old sacred burial ground at the intersection of 4th street at hearst avenue. the walk goes to emeryville to another sacred burial ground now covered by the bay street mall. the walk will begin at 10:00am. >> coming up next, the forty-niners travel to seattle for a t

take a look at this stirring a swim from san francisco to alcatraz that big commercial cargo ship sailed through a group of swimmers. viewers sent us this footage said his son was in the water when the ship cruise by. you can see how close the vessel is. 2 kayakers who are paddling along side. the swimmers helping them and their swim. no injuries were reported. fortunately, the coast guard is aware of the incident and says they are investigating the group of swimmers was with a club called odyssey open water swimming. reached out to. and they said this is a very alarming incident. you can get a free ride to donate blood this week in san francisco. thanks to waymo waymo in the american red cross partnered for a blood drive event that runs through next sunday. the event is to help combat what they say is now a national blood shortage in order to meet the needs of patients in hospitals nationwide. the red cross says they need to collect 10,000 people to donate blood every week over the next month. the donation center in san francisco is at 16. 63 market street. it's official the 2025 nba al
