judge alex ferrer is a former police officer and florida circuit court judge.s state and across the country. should he have been able to be forbidden or prohibited from acquiring those weapons in the last week? >> well, the problem is that we don't have enough restrictions for people who are deemed to be dangerous by law enforcement. somebody on a terror watch list, i don't know why he was taken off. obviously, hindsight would tell us that was a mistake. but people on terror watch list right now can just go out and buy a gun tomorrow. there's no restriction on it which makes absolutely no sense. when you think about the fact that a spouse who makes a domestic violence complaint against her husband, the husband's guns in many states can be seized immediately, and he can be prohibited from buying a gun. he hasn't been found guilty, it's simply an allegation. and i would venture a guess there's less credibility in an angry spouse or roommate than there is in a law enforcement investigation into terror. yet we allow that restriction. so there certainly should be so
