alex hogan live on the border in la jolla, texas, with the very latest. hi, alex. >> reporter: hi, eric. border patrol agents have called for more help in terms of manpower and technology, technology being one of the key components of securing the border. in our coverage here outside of mcallen, texas, one thing that really has marked the skyline for if us is -- for us as a point of reference is a tethered aerostat radio system. the blimp is filled with cameras that scan the border. it can go up to 10,000 feet to observe possible suspicious activity and intercept. potential narcotics shipments. the technology can detect aircraft, vehicles or boats and, of course, people depending on its location. it's just one to have many resources here along the border e, the kind of technology that was used in order for agents to find that 3 and 5-year-old, those girls who were dropped 14 feet from the border wall this week. the technology captured their fall as well as the smugglers who ran away, leaving them alone in the middle of the night. they are now safe. fox new

let's go to alex hogan in la jolla us texas.t right? >> reporter: that's right, ashley. we're seeing that just this morning. if you take a walk with me here, there are 62 people right now sitting along this fence, people who were stopped about an hour ago by border patrol. many of their faces you can see the exhaustion, they have been walking, all of them coming from separate countries. they've been asked questions about where they were or where they were going, and before that they have been sitting here before they get loaded onto buses. earlier this morning we did see another group a little bit closer to the border, and they were a group of about 12 migrants that had arrived from honduras. one woman carrying a small baby. while many of them appeared sleep deprived, they were dehydrated and hungry, one of them suffered serious injuries. yesterday in this part of texas border agents took hundreds of people into custody. officials say, as you mentioned, they expect one million migrants to cross the border within this year. many
