we begin with alex savidge near clayton where more help is on the way. good morning, alex. >> reporter: a lot more help is coming out here to help out the crews. the fire has grown in size, nearly doubled in size overnight. the only bit of good news is that the fire is burning away from where homes are in this area which is just outside of clayton where we are this morning. what it is doing, is almost going straight up mt. diablo. it's been burning up in some of these steep canyons overnight. there's structures and a communications tower up there. crews are standing by to protect the structures. so far, the weather teams to be cooperating, we have light winds out here. the morgan fire has now burned about 1500 acres. it nearly doubled in size since yesterday. hand crews were out overnight. they've been able to build containment line around 10% of the fire's edge. more help is coming. 15 calfire strike teams have been called in. that means more than 100 extra firefighters joining the effort today. this fire started around 1:45 in the afternoon yesterday ne
