ktvu alex savidge is joining us now to tell us what may have led up to the accident.ood morning alex. >> reporter: dave, good morning to you. we have just learned new informs about this single car crash. everyone inside was either a teenager or in their early 20s. the car that they were all riding in lost control, veered into on coming lanes and slammed right into this utility pole. the force of the crash knocked out the signal lights. you can see they are flashing red here this morning. the accident just before 2:00 a.m. at the intersection of pleasant hill road and taylor boulevard. all of the victims were inside this lexus sedan that was pretty badly damaged. everyone was taken to john mere hospital. everyone is expected to survive their injuries. police officer also said they are investigating the possibility of the dui but they do not believe at this point that alcohol played a role. that is the understanding they have right now. it's also unclear exactly where this group was coming from or going to and in fact police tell me there was a bit of a language barrier

ktvu alex savidge is live in san francisco right now. the giants now a step closer to going to the world series again. good morning, alex. >> reporter: dave, good morning to you. it wasn't pretty but giants fans are just fine with the results of last nights game. their team headed back to the national league championship series for the third time in five years. a very familiar position for this team. as you take a look this morning at the ferry building behind us here, it's pretty clear. orange october is rolling on. after knocking off the nats last night in front of the home crowd at at & t park. the giants celebrated with champagne and a few beers in the locker room. . after that the players headed back ons field and took a victory lap of sorts. the giants advance in the play offs with another one of their typical games. it was a tense one. a one-run victory. and of course great defense down the stretch highlighted by an incredible hunter pence catch at the wall that got the crowd fired up. first baseman brandon belk tried to explain h

alex savidge is in the ktvu newsroom. is getting pretty scary, alex, since you would think the nurses took all of the necessary precautions. what do we know about the new case? >> reporter: a lot of concern. this latest patient works in the same hospital where a man with ebola died last week. she reported having a fever yesterday and then within 90 minutes she was in isolation. a preliminary test shows she does have ebola and this morning, i want to show you the scene at the woman's apartment complex in dallas. police and firefighters arrived there early this morning. the mayor said that the common areas of the complex are being decontaminated area right now by a hars artous materials -- hazardous materials team. a cleaning crew will go in to do a thorough cleaning. the woman lived alone. doesn't have any pets. that's important to know since some doctors believe some animals can carry the virus. this woman works at texas health presbyterian hospital. she was part of the team that treated that man, thomas duncan, the first

ktvu's alex savidge live in napa now.ave video of this undercover operation. >> reporter: good morning. after a disaster like the napa earthquake in august, unlicensed contractors tend to come out of the woodwork. there have been a lot of unsuspecting homeowners who have been ripped off. that's why state authorities crack down on workers trying to operate under the table. what you are looking at is hidden camera video from an undercover sting operation that was carried out this week by the contractors' state license board working in conjunction with the napa county district attorney's office. authorities invited unlicensed contractors to this particular house that has earthquake damage and they asked those workers for repair equipments. ever since the 6.0 earthquake in late august, a lot of people have fallen victim to contractors working under the table and homeowners who hire these crews risk losing their money and they are also liable if a worker is injured on their property according to state authorities. during this

ktvu alex savidge is joining us live now.ou have more on this and also how a family escaped those flames. alex. >> reporter: dave, good morning to you. i want everybody to know the woman that was hurt in this house fire is in stable condition. we have been told. this was a dramatic rescue pulled off by milpitas firefighters. they found four family members trapped up on the roof. they were trying to get away from this fire. that was the only safe place they could find. for thes moved in and help -- firefighters moved in and help two people jump down and brought two down on the ladder. but the grandmother suffered burns to her arms. she will be okay. you can see the extensive damage done to the home that son farm crest street. the fire started just about 3:00 in the morning. it's unclear if the smoke detectors were working in the house but a battalion chief told me given the size of the fire it's a good thing everyone woke up when they did. >> they are very, very lucky. they are very lucky. they are probably in the one last occ
