fox 5's alexandra limon is outside the fire station with alex? >> reporter: well kevin swain's firefighters tell me he left the hospital in some pretty good spirits. swain was shot four times a little over a week ago but some good news for him tonight. he got to head home to continue recovering with his family. take a look at this, a video of him getting released from baltimore shock trauma. swain was wheeled out and he was greeted by firefighters who actually drove one of their engines from the morningside department to baltimore so they could escort swain home after his release p he has been hospitalized since the april 15th shooting when he was seriously injured while responding to a welfare check in temple hills along with prince george's county firefighters. after firefighters forced entry into the house, the homeowner snyder and injuring swain, who was released from the shop today. >> it's got to be the brightest point at the end of a trying week. i haven't seen him since the call that night, visited him here in the hospital. seeing him go

fox5's alexandra limon tells uss how this unfolded. d.c. child and family services said mr.s a combination of cm things, including the urgency of the situation they were dealing with and a series of unlucky coincidences that led them to this school, cw harris elementary where they took thek wrong child into their custody. the person w that a child was being taken ouç of her school. her 10 year old grandson wasdson removed from his southwest d.c. elementary school by child and family services. the problem is he was not the child they were looking for. i know that she was coming out o for a good cause because sheecau said it was for a child's safety. that's why i'm kind of not too mad, but i think that from now on there needs to be a stricter protocol. her other issue is the way sheay was notified of the mixup. the boy's bus driver who called to alert the 10 year old michael wasn't on the bus. after checking with family members she panicked realizing no one knew where he was. a spokesperson with d.c. youthd. and family services explained everything happened really rea quickly.

alexandra limon is live with an update for us. >> reporter: this all started as a fight. police say a man stabbed three people and took off running in this direction. just a few hours ago, a woman found a knife under her parked car. now again police say this all started as a scuffle on the dance floor between two people. and when two security guards tried to intervene, the suspect allegedly stabbed both of those guards as well as the other man he was fighting with. police arrested the 33-year-old suspect philip harrington last night, but they had not found a weapon. today investigators returned to the scene. they searched through trash cans and bushes but didn't recover a weapon until a woman knife under her car. she spoke to us but didn't want to be seen on camera. >> i looked and said what is this silver stuff sitting here. at first i thought it was a part from a car and i said that's a knife and i looked down and i saw kind of like spots of blood on it. >> of the three victims we have two who actually have been observed and we expect to be released some part of the ear
