i want to bring you one of the women, alexis goldstein she's an alumni.nk you for coming on set today. >> thanks for having me. >> you don't personally know dr. blasey ford. you don't personally know brett kavanaugh. can you explain why you felt compelled to organize this letter? >> the school is pretty small. a thousand alumni is a huge chunk of our population. it's a tight-knit community and we had a huge number of alumni who wanted to know how we could stand in support of dr. blasey ford. a lot of folks had similar experiences, but mostly i think the community just wanted to support her and say that we had her back. >> you have some notable signatures on the letter. we have to mention julia louis-dreyfus, a famous alum of the school. you wanted an independent investigation before the committee votes. do you really think that's going to make a difference? >> we do and we want to be consistent with dr. blasey ford's request which is what she has requested. this shouldn't be a resident pete of 1991. and i should note that another notable alum that we deli
