ali rasmus joins us live from san jose with more on what police are doing to make sure this service stays safe. ali. >> reporter: police spokesman told ktvu that they have within working on the security plan for today's funeral service for the past two weeks. police say they obviously don't want any violence and they're not expecting any violence. however, police are going to have at least 70 uniformed officers outside the perimeter of the cemetery in san jose. those officers will be there during the gravesite funeral service of 52-year-old steve towson. he was a rye hanking member of the santa cruz hell's angel motorcycle club. he was shot and killed at the cemetery two weeks ago, during the funeral service of another hell's angels member. three to four thousand people attended that service. and police say that large crowd made it very difficult for them to respond to the shooting, secure the crime scene, and apprehend the shooter. so in contrast, today's funeral service for towson is supposed to be smaller, by invitation only. and police say that was a security precaution they worked ou

ktvu's ali rasmus is there monitoring the situation. what can you tell us, ali? >> reporter: the city has plans to force the protestors out. they aren't giving us any details about how they plan to do it or when they plan to do it. the administrator says there's no deadline to enforce the notice to vacate that the city gave the two to 300 people you see here on thursday evening. 36 hours later, they're still here. they have not enforced that notice to vacate. occupy oakland demonstrations are still going on. in that notice to vacate, the city says this encampment posed a public health risk and fire hazard with open kitchens here. after nearly a week and a half, city administrators say it's time for the campsite to go. >> the conditions over the last 10 days have deteriorated to the point where we can no longer adequately maintain public health and public safety. >> we've been asked not to walk into this campsite with our camera. last night when one you've cures did, they were surrounded by several men and told to leave the area. we've asked someone in charge of s
